Jon Hamm Interested In Superman After All!?!?!

A change of heart?

Fan favorite Jon Hamm has been mentioned quite a few times on this website.

With news coming out a couple of days ago thinking he is too old, it seems that the 39 year old actor has had a change of heart.

"Those are the internet things that one person says, and then 15 more people Twitter it, and then it becomes this sort of phenomenon," he noted. "It's news to me. If the powers that be are thinking that, I'd like them to get in touch with me. We can maybe discuss it!"

I for one think he is the best choice I've heard so far. Of course he'd have to bulk up a bit but I'm all for an older Superman!

Sorry, bud. That's an older quote...it came out before his more recent "I'm too old" statement.

Seeing OLD SuperHAMM internet news kinda reminds me of being Rick Rolled ;p

Brandon Routh deserves another shot. I would be happy with Hamm if they were going with a much older Superman world or a Dark Knight Returns version - many years after the well known years that Superman movies have all been based in. Over than that rather specific situation....Brandon Routh all the way.

@ DannyRand I completely agree with everything you said. His role as Don Draper shows why he'd be such a great Superman. I don't understand all this "he's too old" crap. They do a great job of making him look younger in flashbacks. Hell he looks five years younger than Don when he's off the show.

He's too old, sorry. Not interested in seeing an Alex Ross version of Superman. Get one who is young enough to really throw some blows.

It isn't about looking exactly like the way he's drawn (since every artist draws him differently), it's about having the presence and gravitas necessary to make people think "Holy shit that's Superman" when they see you.

This I think Hamm has. Everytime I see Don Draper in a fedora, I think to myself, "Holy shit that's Clark Kent."

Even though Routh is not the best Superman by far, he's a decent enough actor. His acting in "Chuck" Season 3 was pretty damn good. :)
Oh, and guys this is my 1st time commenting at all on this site, so....yeah.
