Fans were in outrage yesterday after the Smallville season finale director and long time crew member, Greg Beeman, leaked on his personal blog that Allison Mack would be leaving Smallville for the majority of season ten. Beeman, who seemed to think that adding "spoiler warning" for an 8 am post before the finale aired that night, would keep word from spreading, mentioned:

"Also, Alison Mack. It was amazing to see her again. She was just a girl of 18 or 19 when the show began. Now she is a woman, so mature and together. She was going through some changes on this episode, because she was choosing to move on from the show. It looks like she’ll be back for a couple of episodes but not full time. She and I got to talk about the experience of leaving behind something that you’ve grown so attached to."

CW Sources and the writers on twitter have denied problems with Ms. Mack returning for season ten in "diminished capacity," but were also quick to have Mr. Beeman strike talk of Ms. Mack from his post.

Ms. Mack, who has been the center of fan activity all year with both Operation Truth and Justice and The Legendary Chloe Ad that, ironically, premiered last night in Los Angeles, will be sorely missed.
