No Darkseid in Smallville Finale

Those of you expecting Darkseid to gain a body will be gravely disappointed.

Smallville's version of Darkseid is slightly different than that of the comics.

In Smallville's universe, Darkseid is a black cloud of evil, that preys on the weak souls and turns them evil branding them with an invisible Omega mark. He usually has a host body to move as well as a group of disciples (Gordon Godrey, Granny Goodness, Desaad) who will help him turn everybody on Earth evil. He has tried numerous times throughout the ages and Hawkman (who died in the last episode) has been part of the team that defeated him previous. Darkseid's main goal is to take over the Kryptonian Clark Kent.

Many were expecting Darkseid to create a body that we are used to from the comics. Sadly this won't happen. Instead, he will have a massive army of people he has infected and it will take the hope, good character and inner strength of Superman to save the world and get rid of Darkseid. After all of his influence is gone, he is sent to the Phantom Zone by Clark using his newly re-created crystal.

LX-15 (Lex Luthor's younger clone) will have managed to slow his aging process and have become Michael Rosenbaum by this time (Producers are planning)
