With only two episodes left until the series finale, producers of “Smallville” are taking a page from "All Star Superman" as Jor-El will grant Lois with an early wedding present in the form of Clark’s super powers.

“Prophecy”, the last episode before the two-hour finale, will feature Lois and Clark visiting the Fortress in order to receive Jor-El’s blessing before the two become man and wife.
As a wedding gift, Jor-El will grant Lois with Clark’s strength, allowing her to have an understanding of the responsibility that comes with these great abilities.

Lois will then have to face Clark’s nemesis “Toyman”

While visiting the fortress, we will be treated to images of “the suit” that has been the talk of Smallville fans since season 1.

Fans are hoping that Clark will finally take on the name "Superman", sport the Red and Blue, and soar Up, Up, and Away during the series finale scheduled to air on May 13, 2011.

Seriously? It's the penultimate episode and it's about Lois getting powers and the Toyman?Really? No Darkseid?

Don't be surprised. They love doing episodes where someone has Clark's powers or Clark had them taken away. Who hasn't had powers on the show? Lex, Lionel, Pete, Chloe, John Kent, Lana, Student #12 and #57, its ridiculous. Plus, it is Smallville, way past prime.

Fans: "Oh hey, wasn't Lionel Luthor seeing the ghost or whatever of Darkseid at the end of the other episode?" Producers/Writers/Entire Staff: "Yeah, don't focus on that. We ran out of filler for a full run, so we are just throwing random crap in for no reason."
Fans: "But Michael Rossenbaum is back right?"
Staff: "Yep. So you can't complain."

@tazmaniak- I agree with you dude. They should be using this episode to build up Darkseid. But instead they're going with YET ANOTHER Lois gets superpowers filler piece of garbage. I mean come on people this is like the very END of the entire series...do we really wanna waste it with lame fillers???

See, THIS is EXACTLY the reason I gave up on Smallville. I only watch it because it's Superman...and...oh wait...it's not even THAT. lol

It doesn't mean they won't have any Darkseid stuff. Yeah i agree they should be focusing on him, but they throw him in from time to time. I'm sure they'll talk about it. I wouldn't be surprised if Toyman had been "Omega'd."

@joNathanPetrelli- Yeah but people being 'Omega'd' is a lame cop-out for Smallville. It's just a cheap way of bringing in Darkseid without REALLY bringing him in.

Smallville writer- "Hey, I just watched All-Star Superman and came up with an idea for an episode!"

Smallville producer- "Excellent! We wouldn't want to do anything original anyway!"

Totally agree with the Darkseid copout. Would have been nice if they didn't butcher this show earlier, allowing for a finale featuring "Doomsday"
And not the soft useless wedding crasher Medic Doomsday either. Destroyer of the earth Doomsday would be nice.

The suit looks awful....a la 'Returns.' I'm okay with their creating their own canon. The suit is iconic and classic. Using those muted colors make it look terrible.
