RESULTS: This Is The DCU "Chapter 1: Gods And Monsters" Movie Or TV Show YOU'RE Most Excited About

Last month, DC Studios finally revealed part of its DCU slate, and we wasted no time in asking you which of the projects you're most excited to check out in theaters or on TV. Here are the full results...

James Gunn promised that the DC Studios slate would be revealed in January, and even though he kept us waiting until the very last minute, most fans seem to agree it was worth it.

While we still have a handful of DCEU-era movies to get through in 2023, the DCU looks set to kick off next year, and whether you're a casual fan of the big-name characters or an expert on all things DC, Gunn and Peter Safran have definitely covered all possible bases. Excitingly, that's the case both on film and television.

We recently asked you to cast your votes and share which of these upcoming "Chapter 1: Gods and Monsters" projects you're most excited about.

Thousands of you made your feelings known and it's time to reveal which of these DCU movies and TV shows you, ComicBookMovie.com's awesome readers, singled out as the most highly anticipated. Are you ready? Yes, as we should have probably predicted, Superman: Legacy took the top spot!

New Batman movie The Brave and the Bold wasn't too far behind, while Laterns came in at third place (or #1 among the DCU TV shows). The biggest talking point, however, may be the fact Waller was a distant last. Something tells us many of you are unhappy that the only DCEU actors confirmed for the DCU are those from Gunn's The Suicide Squad!

Then again, an argument could be made that it is the least exciting project here, especially as the rest feel like something new rather than more of the same (it sounds a lot like Peacemaker season 1.5).

Take a look at the full list of results below and then let us know what you think in the comments section.

Superman: Legacy - 32.79%
The Brave and the Bold - 27.61%
Lanterns - 15.22%
Swamp Thing - 9.8%
Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow - 4.53%
The Authority - 4.37% (54 votes)
Booster Gold - 2.91%
Creature Commandos - 1.21%
Paradise Lost - 0.97%
Waller - 0.57%

Kinda saw the top 3 coming from a mile away. Surprised Booster Gold wasn't up higher though.

I was expecting Lanterns to be number 1 since we've ever only gotten one Green Lantern in live-action ever. That's insane when you think about it.

@comicfan100 - Yeah that one movie really scared people away from GL which is a real shame but I'm so pumped that Gunn is putting the Lanterns front and center and understands how important they are to the DC Universe.

Surprise Batman finally lost to Superman in this poll. Interested in seeing the box office results when it comes out

So the top three are representative of the mainstay Superhero's in the DC pantheon YET WB is devoting more resources and flooding the slate with lesser known characters at the very beginning.

Great Strategy!!!

@Forthas - The Authority is gonna serve as the antithesis of what the JL will eventually stand for (which will inspire Supes to form the JL in the future). Swamp Thing is gonna serve as the introduction to the supernatural side of the DCU. Supergirl will expand the galactic side of the universe after Lanterns establishes it.

So in conclusion, the lesser known characters will serve some sort of purpose in the overall story just as much as the A-listers.

Does Waller belong to a God or a Monster?

@MrDandruff - Monster most likely tbh. She's done some f-d up things in the comics and the movies too.
