Superman: Legacy director James Gunn shared some behind-the-scenes photos from the art department to Instagram earlier today, and, as you might expect, fans have been studying the images very carefully in the hopes of picking up some clues about the upcoming DCU reboot.
The snaps give us a look at an adorable pooch named Nora doing her best Krypto impersonation while sporting a cape, and, yes, a few (potentially) intriguing items are visible in the background.
There's a Superman vinyl in the Fleischer-era costume, some posters on the back wall, one of which features Krypto (Gunn has previously indicated that the Superdog will appear), and what appears to be an obscured glimpse of a Super-suit with a yellow "S" emblem in a box under the table.
This could simply be one of the outfits the designers were using for research purposes, but some fans are convinced it might be our first look at the costume David Corenswet's Man of Steel will don in the movie.
Gunn is almost certainly well aware of what can - and can't - be seen in these shots, so we can't imagine he'd allow anything too revealing to be photographed. But hey, you never know.
Have a look at the photos below, and let us know what you think.
In related news, Lois Lane actress Rachel Brosnahan was present at the national day of solidarity rally to show her support for the ongoing SAG-AFTRA and WGA strikes.
Superman: Legacy will also star Isabela Merced as Hawkgirl, Edi Gathegi as Mister Terrific, Nathan Fillion as Green Lantern Guy Gardner, and Anthony Carrigan as Metamorpho.
Casting is currently underway for Lex Luthor, Jimmy Olsen and Perry White.
Barring any delays, Production is scheduled to commence next January.
