first, and im disliking this franchise more and more. dont get me wrong Megan Fox is hot as hell but that dont make up for shity acting or micheal bay destroying April O'Neal

I feel sorry people that love the Turtles comic. But join the club, it MAY BE a good fun film on it's own, but it's not YOUR TMNTs. I get it.

On the other hand . . . . WOW! I never liked the Turtles and now I might watch it when comes on FX or Spike TV.

Not that TMNT has always been high-brow entertainment but the first one was one of the worst movies I've seen in the past decade. It felt insulting even for children. They tried so hard to reproduce the relationship turmoil between brothers and "loss" (abduction) of a mentor the 80's movie had but fail every step of they way. The Turtles came off as bumbling morons, especially Mikey who acted so stupid I'm surprised he could even function. Terrible one-liners, terrible action. Zero redeeming qualities.

The target audience of TMNT2 is not the same as the target audience of BvS.

TMNT2 aims at children 5-15.
BvS aims at children 16-36.

addition: its "sexy" just for the sake of "megan fox is so hot lets put her in this and that outfit". it takes you out of the story

For everyone saying this movie will be dumb or that the last one was dumb or whatever...you have to remember there were a lot of people older than you who thought the first ninja turtles was dumb or that that wasn't as good as what they had in their day. The first ninja turtles film and the source material was good to you because that was what you were introduced to at that age. That's what first made you feel amazed. Now a new generation has something to be amazed about.
As for you who say that some children didn't like the new one well some children didn't like the old one when it came out or didn't care for the comic doesn't make it bad, just means people have different tastes. I like the new turtles and I just thought it was too short.
Now on to Michael Bay...he didn't direct but he produced. Why is Michael Bay considered as bad? He does what he does best. He makes action, gun fights, car chases, and explosions. I don't ever remember him saying he is trying to win an oscar or that he is trying to do Shakespeare. I mean in the last few years he made a live action version of a cartoon that was made PRIMARILY to sell toys and what did his films do? They made money and sold toys. As for him doing action primarily, why is that bad. Does anyone give Scorsese grief for the amount of gangster films? No.
I'm not saying these two directors are equal, but they are both great at what they do. Different types of directors one that makes you think and the other makes you feel excited.

@spiderman620 One they weren't gangsta, they were teens today in modern times. Go to a rap concert and see how many white teens are there...a lot!!! Not playing to a black demographic...and if they were, is that a bad thing that they were trying to get the black audience? Or Can turtles only appeal to white nerds? Not sure what you were trying to say with that entire statement.
As for sexual innuendos there were very few in this film. What to see something with a lot of innuendos but the movie is aimed at children: Spongebob, Avengers, Guardians of the Galaxy etc. However, it doesn't down the quality of those films/shos just gives gives a joke that not everyone has to get.
