"This was a very early test of the direction we were thinking of taking running combat. We were shooting for the old school feel of the “Road Rash” series where you could punch and pummel your opponent until you got him to wipe out. Our main difference was that you could assign a controller button to an opponent and this would allow you to bounce back and forth between multiple running foes. The bad guys were going to be Cadmus experiments into super speed who would terrorize Flash from time to time when he raced across the long city expressways. This video shows maybe about a weeks’ worth of work put into the system. It was only just coming online. We got a bit more work done on it before we closed down and we were starting to get some really amazing wipe outs happening but unfortunately I didn’t capture any of that. Regardless, it’s a nice little taste of what could have been." - Greg Miller

Greg Miller has since moved on to building apps.  His latest, Monster Rift, is featured below.  It’s free to play so do him a favor and check it out

Monster Rift HD

Description: Help Dood travel through dozens of cavernous Rifts as he collects eggs, avoids traps, smashes through obstacles, and defeats a horde of monsters. Once you’ve escaped a Rift, take your eggs to the Hatchery and see what kind of surprise is in each one. Is it a Rift Baby that will help you unlock the next level? A Companion creature that will enhance your abilities? Or perhaps some Gems that you can use to purchase other helpful items from the Monster Market?

Download the game for FREE at iTunes.

I think it could have been decent if they had put a little more work into it.

From all these released videos it seems they had some interesting ideas, but they don't seem quite thought out yet. Hopefully in the future we can get a Flash game.

The game looks ok, though I can just put in Lego Batman 2 and play as The Flash there so that's kinda my Flash game.

What I REALLY want... is a S.H.I.E.L.D. game. That would have the potential to combine Marvel with everything else.

Why do we keep getting all this footage of a cancelled game that we are never going to play, that's like showing us the new batsuit and never have it shown in the movie

Between Infamous and Batman:Arkham series my hero game quota is meet. But in all seriousness if too many comic base games get made it may come at the cost of original idea base games.

The deveopers are trying to get hits on the page so they can revieve the project and unless its an aos game it should be and kept cancelled this looks like a ps2 game and the flash for all his speed is a one deminasonal character who still doesnt have a movie, i loved the old cbs series (cancelled) but the flash aint happening now if we had a flahpoint movie or a justice leaughe intro yeah maybe

how exactly does one pass judgement either way on 1 minute of POC footage?

It's early footage, so here's my early impression:

Games that feed you info on how to destroy an enemy bug me. Too much tutorial is a good way to ruin a game.
Also, eh. I'd want something where I can take down regular people, speeding by them, hitting them before they can react. Honestly, it'd probably need to be more combat-oriented than open world. Running through a city would get boring kinda fast. The super-speed becomes relative when you have to use it to get everywhere.
