The Screen Junkies are back with another Honest Trailers video, and this time, it's The Flash's turn to be roasted over hot coals. While the video is quite funny, it does make you wonder what dirt Ezra has on executives at Warner Bros.
The Flash was released on June 16, 2023, and grossed $268.3 million at the worldwide box office from a reported production budget of $200 million.
Reports from several Hollywood trades say the film is one of the biggest box office bombs of all-time and may lose Warner Bros. over $200 million.
Just a few weeks later, it's already available to view on digital OnDemand, having been released on July 18, 2023. Blu-ray and DVD copies will be available for purchase on August 29, 2023.
Surprisingly, the film holds a "Fresh" Rotten Tomatoes score of 64% from 368 reviews and an average audience score of 83%. That's certainly better numbers than some of Marvel's most recent output.
As fans turn to James Gunn and a looming reboot, beginning with Superman: Legacy, one has to think movie audiences will be seeing Wally West as the main Speed Force user moving forward.
Worlds collide in “The Flash” when Barry uses his superpowers to travel back in time in order to change the events of the past. But when his attempt to save his family inadvertently alters the future, Barry becomes trapped in a reality in which General Zod has returned, threatening annihilation, and there are no Super Heroes to turn to. That is unless Barry can coax a very different Batman out of retirement and rescue an imprisoned Kryptonian… albeit not the one he’s looking for. Ultimately, to save the world that he is in and return to the future that he knows, Barry’s only hope is to race for his life. But will making the ultimate sacrifice be enough to reset the universe?
