THE FLASH Finds It's Simon Stagg In William Sadler; Could We See Metamorpho?

Iron Man 3 star William Sadler recently shared a picture to his twitter account, which features him alongside a campaign poster for Simon Stagg, which features his face. In the comics, Stagg is tied to Rex Mason, who becomes part of The Outsiders as Metamorpho. Take a look!

It looks as if William Sadler (The Shawshank Redemption, Iron Man 3) has joined the second episode of CW's The Flash, as wealthy buisnessman Simon Stagg. Back in comics history, Simon ties into Rex Mason, who becomes the shapeshifter Metamorpho. We already have Katana cast into season 3 of Arrow, so could we possibly get comics team The Outsiders? It's a stretch, but it's possible! Comment below and give us your thoughts on the matter!

Simon Stagg is the unscrupulous owner and CEO of Stagg Enterprises and the father of Sapphire Stagg. Adventurer Rex Mason wanted to win the hand of Sapphire Stagg. Simon sent Rex to Egypt to retrieve a meteor referred as the Orb of Ra. Unbeknownst to Rex, Simon had his brutish Neanderthal bodyguard Java attack him and leave him for dead. Unfortunately, Rex was near the Orb of Ra and was exposed to it leading to his transformation into Metamorpho.

The president of the US in Marvel is a corrupt CEO in DC! :)

I think the outsiders is a real possibility for the CWverse.

Ha,I swear I just mentioned this the other day on another Flash article.
When they announced Firestorm as a character. He's powerful but odd.

I said Metamorpho is an odd but cool character I want on the show & Simon Stagg / Stagg Industries would be great to use as an evil company since the CW won't use Luthor as a bad guy.
Love This..hope Morpho appears & better make Rex a bad ass & not some mindless creature.

If Metamorpho shows up I hope Black Lightning will be next.

DC has been hiring movie actors for their tv roles....interesting.

After Arrow's Shrapnel, I think it's fair to assume that's how CW will do the character with such appearances, meaning Rex will be similar.

So is this show going to change it's name to Flash and the Central City Justice League or what?

After Smallville I'm surprised there isn't more skepticism over their approach to the likes of The Atom or Firestorm, less they butcher they appearances and make them, well, boring.

@Klone

Ya if they do really have Firestorm in the show I can almost guarantee he will look very different and the fire will not be on his head. CGI fire is one of the fakest looking things you can do with CGI and to see him as a hero with the fire on his head will just look silly.

I can understand removing the fire from the head, but think about the costumes themselves. Blue and red Atom, orange and white Firestorm, etc.

I don't know that much about Metamorpho tbh. All I know is, his body is split into four different elements.

For once STFU!!!!!! Your whining is just annoying......... and coming from someone who does not even read DC comics is just pathetic.

Piss off. My comments are being honest and not like the shit you get from Bender. Sorry that you're too fragile to comprehend anything other than blind, sheepish worship.

And get a clue Klone the mass majority of members on this site all agree that you are one negative individual. Again I am shocked that DC/WB is not busting down your door and offering you a contract to write, produce, and direct all their live action television shows and movies.

@Alpha

Well, characters like Atom and Firestorm would require heavy CGI if they want it to be impressive or accurate in a visual sense. Arrow doesn't have characters like that. The scepticism I mentioned was more in reference to the effects, because like Smallville or not, the effects did look very off at times and that show was full of characters like Atom and Firestorm.

Metamorpho, hell yeah, one of my favourite superheroes growing up. Doom Patrol, Metal Men and Metamorpho were some of the coolest comics characters ever created, even cooler than the contemporary Marvel stuff in some ways (IIRC, the X-Men were Marvel's response to the Doom Patrol). Though aimed at a younger audience, they were very imaginative and wild.

I don't care. I am a negative individual and a pessimist. Stop acting like I deny such a thing. And you, like Soto, cling onto that one little thing I have to continuously debunk almost everytime I am ever so fortunate enough to encounter you. Did I say I should do all those things and that if I were in charge everything would be amazing?

NO, so stop lying and acting like I continuously make comments suggesting that. My comments weren't even that negative, simply pointing out characters like Rex would be like Shrapnel and that I'm surprised there is no skepticism in regards to the visual effects given that it's Atom and Firestorm. Based on arguments we've had before, you'd pretty much attack me for anything that isn't blind, sheepish worship.

I barely read comics NOW. Do I read them weekly or even monthly? No, therefore, in my mind, constituting as barely reading them.

A month or so ago I barely read fictitious novels but now I do, given that I read daily.
