A first look at the box art for one of The Flash Funko POPs has found its way online, revealing at least one "Variant" of the Scarlet Speedster we haven't seen before, and giving us another glimpse of the character design for the movie's villain.
Spoilers follow.
The first wave includes The Flash, the version of the Fastest Man Alive in the repurposed Bat-suit we've seen in previously-released promo art, and another who looks like he's in some kind of skater gear.
We also get another look at the evil Dark Flash, both Michael Keaton and Ben Affleck's Batmen, Supergirl and Iris West.
Finally, we have Wonder Woman and General Zod!
Does this confirm that Gal Gadot's Diana will show up for a cameo after all? Last we heard, both WW and Superman's (Henry Cavill) appearances had been cut, but this doesn't necessarily contradict that report, as these Funko POP designs were likely finalized before James Gunn and Peter Safran took over as DC Studios so-heads.
We've heard that the movie went over very well in test screenings, and a recent trade report claimed that the Andy Muschietti-helmed superhero adventure has "tested through the roof," with one source praising the film as “Spider-Man: No Way Home good.”
Though no official synopsis has been released, The Flash will be (loosely) based on the Flashpoint comic book arc, and is still set to serve as a "reset" of sorts for the WBD franchise - although we're sure Gunn and Safran have made an all-new plan for the post-Flash DCU (we may find out tomorrow).
The Flash recently moved its release date up by one week, and is now set to race into theaters on June 16, 2023.
