If you haven't seen Defendor see it, thats all I can say. It hits shelves on DVD and Blu-Ray this week I believe so check it out. MTV nabbed an interview with Kat Dennings who plays a sort of crack whore sidekick to Woody Harellson's costumed crime fighter, Defendor. Here are the highlights in which she also talks about another little indie flick she's a part of:)

MTV: Both you and Woody Harrelson are great in the film, but despite all of the dramatic tones, I have to admit that I laughed a little at his superhero suit. I imagine that was intentional, but did you ever have any issues keeping things serious while Woody's in superhero mode?

DENNINGS: No, actually we were pretty deep into what we were doing and I never really viewed this film as a comedy. I know there are funny moments, but I never looked at it like that — Woody didn't, either. There are elements of parody in his character, but not really, in my opinion. Everyone has their own view on it. But he's playing a guy with Fetal Alcohol Syndrome, and he's got a pure soul. So he's never really coming from a place where he's doing this funny. I always found it to be a pretty heartbreaking story. I'm always surprised when people describe it as a comedy.

MTV: Well, you're in a unique spot right now of being able to compare "Defendor" to a very high-profile, big-budget film you're working on these days: "Thor." How do the two compare?

DENNINGS: Right. Well, on one hand you have "Thor" — obviously an extremely epic, explosion on the screen. It's just incredible and it's on a huge scale, and it is its own universe. "Defendor" is completely the opposite. It's just this one guy who believes in truth and justice and goes about it in his own way — which means lime juice and paper clips versus actual magic powers. It's totally different. It's totally, totally different. It's based in the real world as opposed to a bigger, different thing that has its own universe.
