With the trailer rumored to be attached along Tron: Legacy in December, the marketing for the upcoming comic book adaptation THOR is in full swing. We never really got a full shot of the costumes, but now Marvelous News have revealed two new movie figure photos showing a first look at the Loki's costume and also the Thor one as well.

Check it out:

Sculpted by Gentle Giant Studios and released by Diamond Select, Thor and Loki come to the Marvel Select line of figures. Based on the upcoming "Thor" film, both figures feature Marvel Select's standard 16 points of articulation and come packaged with a display stand based on the mythical rainbow bridge that can be combined to form a diorama.

Also, thanks to RealIrOnMaN from SpiderMedia.ru for sharing this two new promos:

THOR is directed by Kenneth Branagh and stars Chris Hemsworth, Tom Hiddleston, Anthony Hopkins, Natalie Portman, Jaimie Alexander and Idris Elba. Film is set to hit theatres on May 6, 2011.

Stay tuned for a lot more coverage regarding the big screen adaptation...

Cool! I wish there was a little more green in Loki's costume (and why does Thor still not have a helmet, lol!?) but they're both fantastic comic to movie adaptations. Marvel Studios FTW. :)

I don't enjoy the bottom half of the Thor outfit; looks like Harley Davidson chaps. The boots are also an eyesore. Going to have to wait till the movie to actually see it in action.

Looks pretty good. I agree we need Thor's helmet too, maybe they figure pretty boys don't want to wear helmets. All in all though, I'm pretty excited for this.

I wish I could convince myself that I like how they pulled off Thor's costume more. It's not bad per se, but really could have been done better.

And I feel like I'm the only one who doesn't think that Chris Hemsworth pulls off the Thor look very well. He has too much of a boyish aspect about him. I want my Thor hardened and grizzly.

The helmet is the only thing that bugs me about this movie. All the lil clips of action seen in the SDCC footage have thor without it, this is my only tiny concern for what will undoubtebly be an awesome movie.

so weird that they are downplaying Thor's helmet. I wonder if the studio feels it just doesn't look 'right' and is purpsoely suppressing images of him wearing it, it has to be a conscious decision, doesn't it? still, these figures / costumes look fantastic and I cannot wait till next year!

Nice, the footage doesn't really give a good look at Loki's armor. Nothing new with Thor, though.

cannot wait for this movie man ugghhh, im thinking the only time we gonna see him have the helmet is the begginning and when he fights destroyer. Aftter seein GL's transformation, wonder how they gonna do thors.

@deberg49-I agree. The pants and footwear on Thor and Loki don't work at all. The stills from months ago also gave the impression that Thor's wearing loose fitting pants. I hope this is not the case with the finalized version of the film. I feel they should have gone with a leather/chain-mail combo or black spandex for Thor's pants.

To the helmet fans out there... maybe Thor only wears it on Asgardian holidays? Relax...it'll show up in the film. It's too crucial of a costume element to overlook.

I know I'm gonna get killed for this but...
I like him without the helmet better!
The helmet covers up his identity too much!

That's probably why they show him without
the helmet a lot, cuz it obscures Chris'
head, hair and face too much.

If Thor is not going to wear a helmet, by looking at the 'action figure', why is Loki wearing one, doesn't make sense,,,,
HelaGood
HelaGood - 11/18/2010, 3:19 PM
@ThePhantom832 thor DOES wear a helmet in the movie. i think it is mandatory that the loki doll has the helmet, otherwise hes very ordinary. with it he looks evil. thor looks kickass with or without his helmet.
