If you don't know, Sega is developing a game based from the Thor film. Well according to a user on the forums of Russian site, SpiderMedia.Ru, these are some sketches that didn't come to pass. Here is what said exactly:

Sketches from the initial version of the games on the film Thor (“Thor”), which (possibly, but possibly also no) they bring us closer to that, what it is worthwhile to expect in the film itself.

Appeared given sketches still in August 2009, and this can mean that the development of game still in the force, even despite the fact that author of sketches, [Maykl] Of [stribling] (Michael Of stribling) stated: “A of bunch of “Thor: The Of video Of game " sketches of that of didn't of come to of pass of while I was at Of sega. “

MarvelFreshman: This site is known for having info before the US, so who knows how true this is. But if the game is indeed based off of the movie, whos to say this isn't designs considered for the film as well. What do you think?

UPDATE: Okay, so I thought I recognized these pics before, and I realized I saved them on DeviantArt sometime last year. So I went and found them again, and it turns out these are indeed concept art for the game.

SOURCE

They were created by, Michael Stribling, who used to work for SEGA, when they were developing the game back when the Thor film was sceduled for 2010 release. On Michael's DeviantArt profile, include the pics above, and under their descriptions says:

Concept art for Marvel's Thor, that didn't come to pass

Here is another pic not included in the few above.

The costume in the second piece of colored art is fantastic - I would LOVE to see that realized on film. The shoulder armer is a very, very nice touch.

Agreed! A hood ornament from an old '50s car. Maybe this isn't a reliable source.

IMO I think a thor game should be something like God Of War

Wow, I guess I'm the only one who likes the helmet. I like the art deco style design, especially in the second picture.
To each his own.

And it totally has a kirby vibe to it, it looks like something the New Gods would wear.

I wouldn't want odin's palace to look like that, but I think the style works for the wings, it looks like the helmet he wore in the the Thor Lord of Asgard story line

And that's the helmet I've thought would always look badass on screen. So if these concept art pieces are anything to go by it would seem that's the direction they're going. And that pleases me to no end.

I agree with RedEye, Thor would kick ass as an action game. ::fingers crossed::

yeah, I was just to lazy to go and save it to photobucket and all that jazz. Thanks dogsofwar.

I think the similarities are obvious, true the concept art is more highly stylized but again I kind of like it. I like the art deco style armor they seem to be using in movies of late. Look at the armors of Zeus and Hades in the Clash of the Titans, both wear highly stylized, streamlined metallic armors. Is it period armor? No. But it immediately sets them apart from the mortals, it's like a badge of their godhood.
It's not for everyone, I know some people dislike the armor in clash too, but I think it looks cool.

No problem man. You can post pics without saving them anywhwere. Just do this without the asterisks (*):

Hopefully this will show. html can be tricky. htmlgoodies.com has great tutorials.

lol I admit it does slightly resemble a hood ornament, but I still love it, always have. I'm a huge Thor fan, and Lord of Asgard was hands down one of the best Thor stories ever told. And I really dug his costume during it, it was a mix of his traditional wear and odin's costume.

Plus you have to admit, it really does feel like something kirby would draw, I mean look at the hemet he gave Galactus, and the armor he drew for DC's New Gods. It all has a very art deco feel to it.

and thanks for the tip dogs!

Yeah I'm not thrilled about sega either, but really who cares? It's a movie tie in, it was going to be bad no matter who made it.
I just like the possible glimpse it gives into the costuming.

they need to mix the God of War big monster, epic battle style with the latest wolverine game look and style!
That would be the most EPIC comic book game EVER!!!

I kinda dig the helmet. I see what there trying to do with it. Just sticking feathers on there would look cheesey but making them metal and as if they were an extension of the helmet for extra protection. Its a bit too big but not the end of the world I like where there going!

He-Man and the Masters of the Universe!
I am Adam, Prince of Eternia, defender of the secrets of Castle Greyskull.
This is Cringer, my fearless friend. Fabulous secret powers were revealed to me the day I held aloft my magic sword and said:
"By the power of Greyskull"
HE-MAN!
"I have the power!"
Cringer became the mighty Battle Cat. And I became He-Man, the most powerful man in the universe. Only three others share this secret.
Our friends the Sorceress, Man at Arms and Orko.
Together we defend Castle Greyskull from the evil forces of Skeletor.

HE-MAN!

imnotwearinghockeypants- A-MEN!!!

Well, looking at the style, it seems that The Rocketeer is going to be a big inspiration for Thor as well as Cap. Which is good since i love The Rocketeer. I kinda like this helmet, i was actually rooting for steel wings instead of feathers. The helmet's purpose is to sheild from attacks and i think it looks ideal for it. His costume looks amazing!!! I LOVE the shoulder pieces, i've always loved my Thor with shoulder pieces in fact, i incorporated them in my Hulk Vs. art contest submittion:

I love the costume and I like the helmet that Dogs posted...

It reminds me of the Art Adams style from X-Men franchise in the 80's... Mostly durring the MoJo storyline....
