It's been confirmed this evening that British actor Chance Perdomo, best known for his roles in Chilling Adventures of Sabrina and Gen V, has died following a motorcycle accident on Friday.

Little in the way of specific details have been revealed about the circumstances surrounding the 27-year-old's death, though it's been widely reported that no one else was involved.

Perdomo rose to prominence thanks to his work in the After film trilogy and was nominated for a BAFTA for his work in Killed by My Debt. However, his role as Ambrose Spellman in Netflix's Chilling Adventures of Sabrina put him on the map and his work as Andre in The Boys spin-off Gen V, set the stage for him to be a key part of that world.

"His passion for the arts and insatiable appetite for life was felt by all who knew him, and his warmth will carry on in those who he loved dearest," the actor's representatives at Shelter PR said today. "We ask to please respect the family’s wish for privacy as they mourn the loss of their beloved son and brother."

It sounds like Gen V season 2's filming start date will now be pushed back in the wake of Perdomo's passing and we'd assume some major changes will need to be made to the series. The show's producers have also issued a statement:

"We can’t quite wrap our heads around this. For those of us who knew him and worked with him, Chance was always charming and smiling, an enthusiastic force of nature, an incredibly talented performer, and more than anything else, just a very kind, lovely person.  Even writing about him in the past tense doesn’t make sense. We are so sorry for Chance’s family, and we are grieving the loss of our friend and colleague. Hug your loved ones tonight."

Perdomo found himself caught up in a minor controversy last year when it was alleged that he followed social media accounts deemed misogynistic and transphobic. Prime Video appeared to respond to that by cutting him out of a promo for Gen V, but the whole thing seemed to blow over pretty quickly and he was clearly meant to be part of season 2.

Our thoughts go out to Chance's friends and family. As you can see below, the actor was active on Instagram as recently as two days ago, keeping fans updated as he presumably trained for his return in Gen V's next batch of episodes.

@Spidey91 - I’m still surprised y’all haven’t figured it out yet. He was sacrificed. Blood sacrificed. It’s a typical thing in Hollywood because the industry is built on ritualistic ceremonies and occultist activity.
Hollywood is basically one big satanic cult. This young man was a sacrificial lamb. I’ve been studying occult science for years this stuff is truly fascinating.
What gives it away is the date of the death. This late actor now belongs to the 27 club. All sacrifices.

@Urubrodi - No I’m being deadly serious and out of respect I won’t say anything further on the matter. The good news is I’m intelligent enough to not argue because only a fool would argue and try to justify their argument. The definition of stupidity is when you do not understand the truth, you are unaware, ignorant or oblivious like you, therefore you react to my comment with hysteria. Denial is the most common human response. You don’t understand occult science therefore you seek to ridicule others because the concept at hand is entirely alien to you, hence your ignorance and stupidity.

@TheMetaMan - I used to be into conspiracy theories. Like the deep down the rabbit hole conspiracy theories. And part of consuming it is both the high of knowing "privileged" information but also its just entertaining.

The problem is it [frick]ed with me, i started to believe everything was a conspiracy. It was a like a prism that I filtered everything through. I stopped when I realized that. The world, while evil, is a much simpler world.

Hollywood is just a place filled with narcissistic, nepotistic and privileged people who think they're better than others.

Just stop is my only advice, for your own sanity. People die young, it's a tragedy, you don't need to invite or conjure a satanic cult to except a simple truth of life.

@Spidey91 - most of these are musicians who got famous young and drug abuse caught with them. It's also coincidence. A lot of young people have died at different ages.

Damn that's harsh and at 27 (what is happening with that number?). I only saw him in Gen V but he certainly left an impression as he was very charismatic and charming on-screen. RIP Chance.

@hypersonic55 - a handful of tragic losses at 27 make the number seem significant, but it's mostly confirmation bias. Just folks trying to make sense of inconceivable tragedy.

Damn , that’s truly shocking news…

I haven’t seen Gen V yet or his other work but had heard about his talent since Sabrina of which he was one of , if not the standout of that show apparently.

Sad to see such a rising young star be snuffed out so soon…

RIP Chance and my condolences to his loved ones at this time.

That sucks. Man, that really sucks. Always easy to try to blame someone or something, but sometimes tragedy just happens and it's the absolute worst. Makes me appreciate what I have a little bit more. My condolences to those close to him.

Was that part about the minor controversy in the article really necessary? Chance died too soon, no need take away from that. Horrible to (have someone close to you) die so young. May peace be found.

This is truly awful, he was so young and a good actor. I hope he is resting now, he will be missed.

I first saw him in the Sabrina show and he was a standout.

F*ck. Only 27... It's so unfair. I've only seen him in Sabrina but he was very good in that.

Dude, I say this as a guy who's a professional Firefighter who was awarded a spot on the busiest ladder in the city (around 90-110 working fires a year), part time mountain climber specializing in climbing frozen waterfalls and tooling with the sharp ass ice axes and sharp ass crampons, and a former motorcycle ride....

motorcycles are simply too [frick]ing dangerous in today's climate of extremely inattentive and self-absorbed drivers. That's not to say the guy deserved it. Far from it. I have a Harley, but ever since I had kids, I refuse to ride it. It's just too dangerous. I still climb frozen waterfalls every chance that I get, head up mountains when avalanche danger subsides, and crawl into burning buildings (albeit I'm at a slower company now), but I refuse to ride my bike.

Too many people on the road in general and about 50% have zero business behind the wheel. Sucks the dude died so young

@Demigods - I’ve been a 911 call taker for the past two years. Was never a motorcycle guy before but this job definitely makes me NEVER want to even get on one. Just had a fatal last week, guy on a bike rear ended a car and flipped over the car. Just brutal.
