The fourth season of The Boys is still shooting, but Homelander actor Antony Starr has confirmed that he's finished filming his scenes, and the show's official Twitter account has bid farewell with a bloody behind-the-scenes image.
Starr then took to Instagram to share the photo himself, adding a few more snaps of the psychotic leader of the Seven covered in some unfortunate individual's blood.
Homelander suffered a setback when it came to light that Soldier Boy was actually his biological father, but, for all intents and purposes, still managed to come out on top when his son, Ryan, decided to join him.
In the final moments of the season 3 finale, Homelander murdered a protestor in cold blood, and his supporters cheered him on. This, along with the photos below, would suggest that he's going to let the mask slip even further in season 4.
Season 4 plot details are a mystery for now, but we do know that new recruits will include Susan Heyward as Sister Sage, Valorie Curry as Firecracker, and Jeffrey Dean Morgan in an undisclosed role. Cameron Crovertti (Ryan) has also been upped to series regular, which is hardly surprising after the sinister final shot of season 3.
Showrunner Erik Kripke recently confirmed that The Boys will not finish up after four seasons.
