The first production photo from the upcoming zombie epic TV series 'The Walking Dead' is finally here. And it looks amazing.



I'm assuming this is an image that is straight from the books and the first issue of the comic when Rick is walking home and finds this zombie in the ditch - barely moving by a bicycle. Awesome stuff.



Also - a new set video entitled Zombie School is showing how some extras learned how to walk like zombies and get Director Frank Darabont's stamp of approval.



A zombie choreographer educates the extras on how to look cracked out and make the zombie walk believable.



The extras practice for hours until they are perfect.



And Darabont gives them his stamp of approval.

holy shit... i mean honestly how is a tv show PILOT getting such great looking zombies.. big movies look worse than this.. this series is gonna blow the world away, never has there been a show like this, Take notes hollywood and friends.. this show is how movies should be made.. with respect and attention to detail

blee947@ it might not be medically accurate(but really idc what wierdos study and believe so.. zombies arent realistic anyway) but it sure as shit looks scarier that way to me

I'm very excited for this show and have high hopes for it . I've never even read the series but am looking forward to watching it all play out on the tube . I'm sure you all will help guide me through it .

@Keven-- as someone who has bugged an organ donation company for about three months straight (when I was doing research and setting out to write my zombie story...) I learned that the eyes deflate as soon as a person dies. This is because the liquid that is inside the eye no longer is pressurized, so it leaks out, so while they don't deteriorate quickly, they wouldn't look like eyes--more like used condoms dangling from eye sockets.

@ wussupman - what? what's that you said? Not reading the books??? WTF? Jesus Christ man! You don't know what you're missing out on!!! And no, I don't mean Jesus giving you the shocker. You must, MUST, read these books. They already stated that the show won't follow the story step by step, so you won't be doing anything to prevent yourself from enjoying the show. THESE BOOKS ROCK! Best and by far, most consistently AWESOME comic book on this planet Earth!
