Many fans have been complaning over the elseworld  adaptation of the city of Batman, the hit TV show GOTHAM, but the fans have not really hurt the show as it is among the top 3 highest rated cable comic book shows on tv right now.

One o the complains has been about the main star Ben McKenzie not being a 100% carbon copy of James " Jim" Gordon the commissioner of Gotham  city, well Ben has taken the future into his own hands and shows us how Gordon could look in a few long years, he truly now is Gordon.

Maybe if the time jump theories out there turn out to be true, this could be a permanent look for McKenzie/Gordon eh?

McKenzie stars as young James Gordon, a detective in Gotham's Homicide Division, on Gotham, which airs Monday nights at 8 p.m. ET/PT.

I'm liking Gotham a lot so far. It is a bit goofy at times, and the Batman refrences, Barbara Gordon and Montoya stuff , Bruce Wayne Subplots and selina Kyle subplots bother me quite a bit. But the crime family drama, penguin stuff and cop stuff is awesome. I think it's quite salvagable, I just want less Batman stuff and Barabara stuff. It's a bit irritating at times.

That's like Tom Welling dressing in a Superman suit before Smallville season 10.

But it's nice to see that he looks pretty good as his future self. Now all he needs a cigar.

Gordon and Bruce are the best parts of the show. I really like Ben, he seems like a cool dude.

I like him, like the show, if they do a time jump it should be only 2-5 years so bruce can be 13-15 the kid who plays him is like 12 now so by season 2 he should be 13 so he can play a 14 year old easy, he is what 8-10 on the show? thats a good time lapse for me.

thanks @Doopie I will fix it

Gotham is good so far but they definitely need to stop with the "villain of the week" crap and focus on the crime mob drama. They also need to invest time in making the characters more realistic- characters like Barbara, Harvey, Selina, Renee and Allen are all very much 2-Dimensional. They need better writers.

That's funny / cool of Ben to dress up like that.
GOTHAM show really is an Elseworlds take on the DC characters.

Actually all the film & tv comic book stuff should be viewed as Elseworlds(DC) & What If?(Marvel)
Only true versions await for readers of the comic books. You don't read em...your loss.

Yeah I always looked upon Nolans Batman as an elseworlds and RDJ is definitely a "What if" ...Tony Stark was charismatic and likable.

Because before the Iron Man film Tony in the comics is soooo f.ucking dry and boring.

The "villain of the week" is needed for the cop element. I agree they have too many underdeveloped characters but it looks like they're starting to develop Bullock.

Really? Never heard such a piece of hack dialogue as Jim Gordon talking to baby batman straight after the murder. Very nearly switched it off then and there. Lucky I didn't because of cobblepot, bullock and kyle. Baby batman is starting to get interesting now but god mackenzie is awful in this, especially after how good he was in Southland.

@TheDudeRusty its not "needed" per se... they could do it like Person of Interest and make sure all the "stories of the week" connect to a larger overall villain plan.
