Hey Everyone and Welcome to What Did I Miss where today I will be breaking down the second episode of the CW series Superman and Lois, and looking for all the easter eggs and references.  This episode, titled Heritage, fleshed out this new world even more as we got to learn more about Clark’s past as well as learning more about some of the other characters on the show.  The threat of Captain Luthor becomes even greater as Clark is aware of how much this new villain knows about him and begins to fear that he may even know about his new home.  Before we get going, you can do me a favor by hitting that like button and if this is your first time, please hit that subscribe button as well.  The response was decent enough after my video about the first episode to do another, and if you want to watch my break down video on the pilot episode of Superman and Lois I will link it in the description.  I will keep doing these as long as people enjoy them and want to keep watching them, so let me know in the comments what you think of the new CW series so far.  I see that a lot of people are not giving it a chance because they assume it will be just another CW “Arrowverse” show and I think that is too bad because I was also tired of that style of series and I really think that Superman and Lois is cut from a different cloth.  After two episodes now, I can see that this show has a lot of heart and that the character will be complex and have meaningful relationships with each other.  In fact, I think that the symbiotic relationships of the show will be a huge part of it, leading to a big reveal in the next few episodes and I will get into my theory about that a bit later.  But if you do like this show, I recommend maybe telling your friends who are tired of the CW to give it a chance, because this may be a breakout hit for 2021 if enough people give it a chance.  OK, that is enough of me on my soap box and no I do not work for the CW but hey if someone from the network see’s this and wants to do something nice, I love Funko Pops.  Having said all that, let’s get into the breakdown of the episode.

Really agree with you on giving this show a chance. Coming from myself who has experienced major CW fatigue over recent years, this show is nothing like it's predecessors.

It's shot really well, looks great and the writing is strong. I wasn't a fan of Tyler in Supergirl but he won me over straight away in this show. The family dynamics are very well written and believable. Look forward to a new episode each week, never thought I'd say that about a CW show again.

@CuChulainn - Ya, I started watching after the second episode had already been shown just because I was not prepared to like it. But after seeing a couple positive reviews from people I respect I gave it a chance. I am also glad I did. :) Thanks for watching the video!

I never saw anything from the CW. It was honestly just overwhelming on how much stuff one would need to watch in order to be caught up, and quite frankly, from what I've heard most of it is just average when it comes to Superhero TV.
So I never felt the lack.

This show however was a great start into this world and works as a jumping off point, seeing that I need to know, close to nothing about the Arrowverse to still enjoy every aspect of it.

From the two episoddes I've seen I can say, that this is the best version of a live-action superman I have seen in QUITE a while.

Definetly worth watching, even if you know Jack about the Arrowverse, like me.

@SpaceAgent - EXACTLY. You literally do not have to have ever watched a CW series to start this show. Thanks for watching!

Same, I enjoyed CW shows at first but then grew tired of the repetitiveness. This show is not like the others and you can feel the love of the superman lore.

It's funny because I would usually hate the family stuff but this show suprises with its deft handling of the subject and I find myself really enjoying the kids story.

Hope it keeps up.

@bobfunn - I think Superman & Lois has a bright future and as you said, the family stuff is done well and you don't really expect that from a CW superhero series. Thanks for watching :)
