Silver talked to the press today (via ScreenCrave) about "Whiteout" and mentioned an interesting scoop at the end.
"I'm developing a picture now that I'd like to do… I'll hopefully do
Swamp Thing, which is a movie we've had for a long time. We think that would be great to do in 3D. There are a couple of projects I'm thinking about (for the format) but not everything."
When pressed for more details Silver said:
"Maybe going to do it. I like it."
There have been two
Swamp Thing movies already, the first a Wes Craven cult classic, which I'm sorry to say I still have not seen! I believe the second one is just an out and out piss take. Anyway, if they stick close in any way to Alan Moore's vision of Swamp Thing then this could be something special. With crossovers and cameos galore from the likes of John Constantine, Sandman, maybe even Batman! Yeah I know, I'm dreaming. More likely this will be another schlocky 3D horror pick with hardly any resemblance to the comic.
Hopefully we will find out, and I get to be wrong.
