Fans were expecting a big reveal this week, but it's hard to imagine many predicted what actually transpired on tonight's episode of The Flash, as it was - spoiler alert - revealed that Caitlin Snow, an O.G. member of Team Flash, died during her time in the consciousness resurrection machine and now, an entirely new person has been born in her place.

Well, then who is Danielle Panabaker's new character? Well, she decided to name herself Khione, which was the original name Caitlin's father gave to her alternate Killer Frost personality when she was a child. What this twist means moving forward remains to be seen, but it seems like Khione is here to stay and it's only a matter of time before Barry Allen (Grant Gustin) and company determines whether she's friend or foe.

Not helping matters is Chillblaine (Jon Cor), who is going to be quite upset that the plan didn't work out like they hoped and it sounds like he's going to be on a collision course with Team Flash in next week's episode, when Barry is forced to recruit a handful of his former villains to take down a new group of rogues.

Check out the new promo for season nine, episode three, titled "Rogues of War," below:

The main cast of The Flash season nine features Grant Gustin ("Barry Allen/The Flash"), Candice Patton ("Iris West-Allen"), Danielle Panabaker ("Dr. Caitlin Snow"), Danielle Nicolet ("Cecile Horton"), Kayla Compton ("Allegra Garcia"), Brandon McKnight ("Chester P. Runk"), and Jon Cor ("Mark Blaine/Chillblaine").

Yes, so because the device he's built to bring someone back to life failed, he's going to go after the rogues...?

If Panabaker ever goes camping, I volunteer to check every inch of her cute body for ticks when she gets back.

Someone's got to do it.

It's so [frick]ed how much better the TV Flash WAS, not is, that the DCEU Flash. And, I don't give a [frick] about Miller's weirdo proclivities. [frick], I wouldn't be friends with Spock or Traegger if that was the case.

9 seasons to put together a decent sized rogues team and its just the rejects that people are at best indifferent to.

should have made Captain Cold a big bad for 1 season when they had him.
