The Flash is nearing the finish line with its current ninth season set to serve as the show's last. Fans are hoping the Arrowverse will go out on a high when Barry Allen's story ends, but will the Scarlet Speedster survive what looks set to be his greatest challenge yet?
We recently learned that Rick Cosnett's Eddie Thawne will suit up as the villainous Cobalt Blue, but he won't be alone. Some newly revealed set photos show that he's assembled a team of The Flash's greatest Rogues, including Reverse-Flash, Savitar, Godspeed, and Zoom.
Fans have often criticised The Flash for pitting Barry against evil speedsters, but this lot has definitely stood out as being among the Fastest Man Alive's greatest foes.
It's already been confirmed that Teddy Sears will return as Hunter Zolomon/Zoom, while both Matt Letscher and Tom Cavanagh are expected to once again don Reverse-Flash's costume. Grant Gustin played Savitar, though we don't know whether Karan Oberoi has been tapped to reprise his role as August Heart.
As for how these villains factor into The Flash's series finale, we're guessing time travel is involved and that Eddie is looking to take his former friend down once and for all.
At the moment, Barry is busy squaring off with Red Death, though last week's big "I am Vengeance!" moment with Javicia Leslie hasn't received the response the show probably wanted (it's been widely ridiculed on social media). Still, there's every chance The Flash will go out on a high.
