Relive The Epicness Of "Hardhome" In Three New Featurettes For GAME OF THRONES Episode 8

Episode #49: “The Dance of Dragons”

Debut: SUNDAY, JUNE 7 (9:00-10:00 p.m. ET/PT)

Stannis (Stephen Dillane) confronts a troubling decision. Jon (Kit Harington) returns to The Wall. Mace (Roger Ashton-Griffiths) visits the Iron Bank. Arya (Maisie Williams) encounters someone from her past. Dany (Emilia Clarke) reluctantly oversees a traditional celebration of athleticism.

Summers span decades. Winters can last a lifetime. And the struggle for the Iron Throne continues.

It stretches from the south, where heat breeds plots, lusts and intrigues, to the vast and savage eastern lands, where a young queen raises an army. All the while, in the frozen north, an 800-foot wall of ice precariously protects the war-ravaged kingdom from the dark forces that lie beyond. Kings and queens, knights and renegades, liars, lords and honest men...all play the 'Game of Thrones.'

An original series based on George R.R. Martin's best-selling 'A Song of Ice and Fire' series.

Game of Thrones returns June 7

that queen's chamber scene between tyrion and dany was as exciting and epic as the hardhome finally. all the possibilities of what tyrion and dany can do together just brings chills.

and of course, Cercei getting what she deserves.

and i guess valyrian steel, which only comes from old valyria, has some dragon glass in it.

Funnily enough, I just made a recent Facebook status about this.

"Everyone spazzing out over the most recent Game of Thrones, as awesome as it was, it's not real. The Skeleton's were all CGI & shit. Just saying because I really feel the fans of the show need to know & to curb their enthusiasm!"

And look at the video above, it's all just make-up. FAKE!

Boycotting this show!

@darthgeekboy

It doesn't have dragon glass in it but it is forged with dragon fire. There are a few people who can reforge it which is why Ice can be split in two, but no one else can create more of the steel itself.

If the Night's King is the same one from the book, it make sense that he just stared at Jon Snow like he did. Snow is a Stark just like the King and he saw the pure Stark like badass nature in him. He most likely wants to recruit him as his second.

@TMW First, you are complaining something is fake when you are a pro wrestling fan and it is all scripted.

Second, it is a television show, it's not a real fight of man vs Zombie. Sorry you are disappointed.

Wun Wun was badass.

I was terrified of Wun Wun dying. Had he died it would have been an, "Oh shit, I hope he doesn't get up within the next few seconds as a zombie or else they'll be even MORE screwed than the fact they're fighting an army they've never actually beaten"

I was deeply upset that the girl died. She was a badass during those 15 mins, but once she left her children go on the boat, I was like damn she's dead. She would've made a very good character and a love interest for Snow.

@Mr.Frostxxx Yeah, I was very upset that she died. Other than that it was 10/10 for me this episode. Also, this episode was more character driven which i liked.

@DalekEmperor

valyrian steel was only ever created/forged in old Valyria in essos, and maybe some in dragonstone. NOTHING was ever forged in any other parts of westeros. the Targaryen dragon riders of old came from old Valyria, when old Valyria was the mightiest kingdom of the known world. they came to westeros. they took with them, their valyrian steel swords. and ruled the 7 kingdoms for hundreds of years. dragon glass can only be found in Valyria.................and dragonstone, which was where the first targaryens hung out with their dragons.

it's safe to say that when the targaryens were forging their valyrian steel, they mixed regular steel with dragon glass giving valryian steel its properties.

@darthgeekboy I wonder, maybe the steel wasn't mixed with glass....maybe its just the fact that they used dragon's breath to forge the steel? Altho everything I remember is that magic was used in the forging.

Goddamn that was a great episode. The action scene was top notch and better than a lot of movies out there at the moment. That's how you do episodes with material that isn't in the books the right way. The Sansa/Theon scene was perfect as was the Cersei scene. Loving the Dany/Tyrion stuff and I hope Varys comes back in the picture too. She will be a political force with both Tyrion & Varys by her side. Shame Ser Barriston had to be killed but I see why they did it now. No way he would've worked with Tyrion and been cool with it. One of them had to go and Tyrion is the better character at the end of the day. This season has been pretty good with the exception of Dorne.. I hope they treat the Greyjoys better nest season.
