Rorschach Dishes On Human Target, Star Trek, And Comic Con

We all know Jackie Earle Haley has been busy shooting Nightmare On Elm Street as Freddy Krueger himself. Check out what The Watchmen star had to say to MTV while talking comics.

Jackie spoke to MTV about his role in the upcoming "Human Target" TV series (based on the DC Comic), Jackie confirmed that he is playing a new character and he says that his appearance in two Comic Book properties making their way to the big screen is only a coincidence.

“In working on ‘Watchmen,’ I feel like I'm starting to understand that Comic-Con world,” Haley told MTV News. “The way people get into movies and television shows — it’s just awesome. I recently saw ‘Star Trek,’ and I had a nerdgasm watching it. It was just so cool.”

Jackie admitted he knew nothing of the “Human Target” comics before taking on the roll, but will definitely be learning up on the adventures of the series main character, Christopher Chance.

This from MTV news "We also had to ask Haley about the dueling release dates for his upcoming turn as Freddy Krueger and that of the next project for his “Watchmen” co-star Jeffrey Dean Morgan — a big-screen adaptation of the DC/Vertigo series “The Losers.” Both films are currently scheduled to hit theaters April 16, 2010.

“I didn't know that!” exclaimed Haley when told about the concurrent premieres for “Nightmare on Elm Street” and “The Losers.”

So, now that he does know, will there be any friendly competition between the former Rorschach and Comedian actors?

“None whatsoever,” said Haley. “I'm looking forward to seeing both, so I think that weekend I'll end up seeing both films.”

The premise of The Losers is similar to The Expendables, Stallone's new action epic co-starring Jet Li, Jason Statham, Dolph Lundgren,Randy Couture,Terry Crews, Steve Austin & Mickey Rourke.

Dude if Depp made a cameo that would be awesome! I'm with Keven though, I need to see a trailer for Nightmare. I love that series. It would be very sad if they destroyed it with this new movie. I know I was skeptical about the new Friday the 13th movie but I really like what they did with it.

It is the cast. The film is in post production and should be out next year.

I know I've never seen a cast like that in my lifetime for an action film.

Welcome j0nnySol0, I hope you know what your letting yourself in for!;)

I hated the Nightmare movies. The first one was ok but even that isn't half the classic as people make out. The premise was good though.

I cant FRICKIN wait for the new Nightmare....HUGE fan of the original series. And the new Friday The 13th was pretty good, but is not a reboot, it was just a continuation. The new Nightmare is a reboot.I just have to wonder at jackie earle's ability to follow in THE MAN Robert Englund's place.

@jonnso - welcome. and the answer to #3 is definatly YES.

@ Keven, wow i seem to be agreeing with you alot more lately, what's up wit dat...

I tot it was entertaining..sure was pretty...when i went to go see this movie in IMAX..i wasnt really in it for the story..i just wanted to see some giant robots kick-ass...and Meagan Fox look sexy...there was a looooot of stuff that didn't quite make sense...but i wasn't really paying attention to the details...so i was pretty satisfied with it..
2. who do you think should play cap?
Dolph Lundgren ;D
3. do you agree that supermike is an asshole?
Who is supermike again? o.O
4. how do you feel about gay people?

Good answers j0nnySol0. But you should have made some type of joke about Bay being retarded in your Transformers reply..and possibly had more enthusiasm for how much you love gay people.

i saw a picture of haley as freddy kind of look ridiclous but i trust them, he did an amazing job as rorshach. cant wait for this one. i was disappointed in the new jason movie i mean it wasnt that bad but wasnt good either. johnny deep lol that would be cool since he was in the original, there was a rumor that robert englund might make a cameo as well cause i watched an interview with him talking about the new nightmare on elm street. it would have been really cool to have him back as freddy but all is good
