Considering just how popular her portrayal of 'Peggy Carter' was in Captain America: The First Avenger and the recent Agent Carter one-shot, it seemed like a given that Hayley Atwell would return as the fan favourite character for Marvel and ABC's planned television spin-off. Well, with the project still in the very early days of development, it was said to be unclear whether or not the actress is interested in reprising the role. After all, she now has a successful career on both the big screen and on many British television shows and it could even be a prequel. More to the point, Marvel Studios are by now well-known for recasting roles when necessary (Ed Norton's Bruce Banner and Terrence Howard's Rhodey for example). Well, The Playlist now claim to have heard that, "our sources tell us she will be back, with shooting to take place next year." How ddo you guys feel about this? Sound off with your thoughts in the usual place!
