AGENTS OF S.H.I.E.L.D. Cast Talks "Big Time Jump" Between Seasons, Simmons' Whereabouts

The cast of Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. recently sat down with Zap2it to spill the beans on season three. Hit the jump to see where we'll find these characters in September!

At ABC's recent 2015 summer TV press tour party, Zap2it managed to catch up with some of the cast members of Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. While they're only currently shooting the second episode of the season, they already had plenty of details to share with the site.

First up is the revelation that quite a bit of time has passed since the season two finale, and no one has any clue where Agent Simmons has disappeared to.  “There’s a big time jump. I feel like everyone’s almost come to terms with it in their own way, except for Fitz,” Daisy Johnson/Quake actress Chloe Bennet revealed.

“It’s Fitz’s mission to get Simmons back. It’s a solo mission," Simmons actress Elizabeth Henstridge says. "I think that the whole team has tried and nothing has worked, so at some point you have to go, ‘She’s gone, we have to move on.’ But Fitz refuses to do that." Oh, what a man will do for love!

Henstridge later revealed that she's finally aware of Simmons' whereabouts, and it sounds like it surprised her! “It’s so much bigger than I thought it would be. What it is, I thought about it and was like, ‘How would they do that? How would they film that?’ I just dismissed everything in the realm of this idea. It's very cool."

There's 14 other interesting tid-bits at the link below, so make sure to head on over and check them out!

"In the aftermath of SHIELD’s battle with Jiaying and the Inhumans, Director Coulson (Clark Gregg) will search the world for more powered people and assemble an extraordinary new team to deal with threats unlike the world has ever seen. However, the Agents of SHIELD will soon find out they’re not the only ones tracking down these new Inhumans.”

Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. returns to ABC on Tuesday, September 29 at 9 p.m.

Is she in Attilan???? Or the Blue Area of The Moon??? Has she met the Inhuman royalty....she raises some big questions with her statements, especially the "how would they film that"

This should be very interesting. My first thought was that Simmons was transported to Attilan but then I figured that the stone is more related to the Kree and less to the Inhumans, so now I think she was transferred to the Kree home world, with a possible tie to the Guardians of the Galaxy.
I am soooo looking forward to SHIELDs return.

Kree home world sounds about right, but would they really go that far on the show? I know the actors seem to think that it is something really big so this all should be very interesting. Can't wait.

I was hoping we'd get to see that Doctor Strange concept art. Looks pretty cool.

@NovaCorpsFan I like it too. I was hoping they would Snyder it up and use dark colors. He's such a dark character that brining a comic accurate suit would be silly, with all the bright colors.

How about, Kree making her Inhuman? That would make things more....darker. Not like they put some gore in previous episodes. And from the source, it seems that second episode is gonna go huge.

Anyways pretty excited for AoS, but hopefully they improve their background score. It feels crazily awkward sometimes....

About that Dr.Strange art. Liked the first one. 3rd one looks awful..

Daredevil...everything right about Marvel TV.
AoS...everything wrong about Marvel TV.
Worst first season for a comic book series I've ever seen. If big daddy Disney didn't own the network, this show would have been cancelled mid first season. Second season was slightly better, but still a mess.

Some of y'all are forgetting it's a Kree WEAPON! Why would it transport her to Hala or Attilan??
dragonator29
dragonator29 - 8/6/2015, 6:54 AM
@ATrueHero1987: No one is sure what it is. Its something very dangerous against anyone. Inhumans themselves acknowledged the fact that they know nothing about it..

@dragons292014 no...it's been established that it's a Kree weapon...meant to destroy the Inhumans.
dragonator29
dragonator29 - 8/6/2015, 7:06 AM
@ATrueHero1987: When? The only thing I remember is the inhumans being very skeptical about that thing. Except for knowing its related to Kree, even they have no idea what could it do.

Its funny that people are still using the first season to try and bring this show down. Season 2 stepped up and was great. Season 3 will be even better.

@KurtWagner1225: He will be on its own this season, with his arc running a bit separate from the rest of the characters. And I like this way.

I'm with those guessing that it's a teleporter to Hala, the Kree home world -- or another Kree world, anyway.

This show isn't great, but I still watch it every week to get my MCU fix.

And other than Jessica Jones and DD season 2, this is all we'll have until Civil War next May.

With the introduction of Madame Masque in AC Season 2, could Simmons be the daughter of Madame Masque. Could Madame Masque be an Inhuman, different tribe on earth like Skyes mother.

We never really found anything about Fitz or Simmons history. But seems like many of the students at the school for geniuses were more than just smart.

Madame Masque was scientific genius.

Everything is connected.
