Final Episodes Of AGENTS OF S.H.I.E.L.D. Linked To CAPTAIN AMERICA: THE WINTER SOLDIER?

With news that 'Thor The Dark World' will have an impact on the events of Agents Of S.H.I.E.L.D. in the coming weeks, many speculated that the show would have a similar relationship with the events of Captain America:The Winter Soldier

Take this with a HUGE grain of salt but according to ComicBook.com, there will indeed be some form of foreshadowing of what will play out in The First Avengers' next adventure. "Sources" say that "...Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. will wrap its first broadcast year just after the release of Captain America: The Winter Soldier to theaters. A source close to the production that Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. will, indeed, be interconnected with the upcoming second Captain America film. According to our source, events taking place in the show will “tease and set up the S.H.I.E.L.D. of Captain America: The Winter Soldier.”

So it appears that we will likely start to get even more hints that SHIELD is not what they seem, and is shifting into a corrupt organization (if they aren't one already).

It still doesn't change the fact that the show sux.

Directly influence? How about just change altogether? Let's get rid of all the unknowns and put actual SHIELD characters on the show like Dugan, Drew, Hill, Danvers, Fury! Then cameo Cap, Thor, or Iron Man and make this show really awesome and not whatever it is now!

Right on @ Omega

This show, is just fun! I would love to see some cameos but I like it either way.

But there are 2 things I'm really waiting for...

The real reason behind Coulson's "Tahiti" trip,
and to see Gravitron come back (I think they picked a terrific actor for his character)

And before anyone goes off about how Arrow is better, I don't give a damn, I'm a proud Marvelite, and don't like DC. Arrow sucks.

It's not unreasonable, put actual SHIELD agents on the show, hell with the newbs!

This show give SHIELD a bad name.
It actually makes them look goofy and less threatening.

What a wasted opportunity.

People are always going to complain. If they started out with Thor, Cap, full CGI Hulk and RDJ and Fury doing a cameo on the first episode everyone would complain that the episodes after it didn't have enough cameos.

Whedon and the rest are doing it right. They have to build it up and make it actually worth something before you throw in the cameos and superheroes, otherwise you end up with fluff and no substance. The build up makes the payoff that much sweeter.

Yup Marvel is banking on five minute Cameos and name dropping of all the movies!!!!!

Not one show has ever started off at it's highest level of quality. Maybe Heroes. Or Dexter. But then you end up with a lopsided quality that trails off over the next 4-6 seasons

Aos isn't great right now, but hopefully with TWS it will become more like the film. Focus on action and SHIELD not being perfect, not the Teletubbies in suits...

Aw yeah! This is how the show should be used, building bridges showing aftermath and foreshadowing. I couldn't care less about the haters. As 50 says "Let the haters hate and watch the money pile up" I love this show and it gets better with each episode. This is good news, now if they could start dropping some Ultron creation hints this will be even better.

Even Breaking Bad started of worse than it finished. No one can dispute that.

Sad that they have to build a show around Cameos etc.... this show should be able to stand on it own ground. Heck I wonder how other shows do it?

How would this even work? Cap 2 comes out the first week of April, and TV shows usually air their finales in mid-May.

They're going to "set up" the events of the Cap movie a month and a half after it comes out?
wcwpoet
wcwpoet - 11/4/2013, 9:03 AM
@irishyardball exactly! I mean Heroes started off fantastically then after season 2 it died a quick death. Good grief that show became damn near un-watchable. But many forget it started off really great.

@humperdink it just seems like they got lazy with the show and wanted to get it out while all the non-comic fans still remembered Avengers

So then are we to assume that Agent Coulson will make an appearance or be known in Winter Solider?
ParisSun
ParisSun - 11/4/2013, 9:05 AM
This is great for the show but they got to get this show up to standards.

No, I don't expect it to be as good as the movies but for the most part Agents of SHIELD is just not enjoyable and is outright boring at times.

I will say that the last two episodes have been better than the ones before it. But it's still not great tv. Hopefully by the time we get to the end of the season, Fitz-Simmons will be dead, a black character will be added and the show will be firing on all cylinders.

And what cracks me up with those talking about all Marvel has is the tie-in factor. Yet sing to the heavens with praises for Arrow, which the only thing has going for it is the large amount of basterized versions of DC characters. The actual star Green Arrow (which he doesn't even go by) The Hood is the least interesting thing about the show.

The difference is with shows like BB, although not amazing in their first season, showed signs of greatness. Nothing from AoS has shown me that it's gonna get any better.

@joemamma Nah, hope Coulson's "resurrection" stays a secret to Cap and the rest of the team. Not that I'd object, Clark Gregg is great

They get a full season in and generally hit a stride in season 2.

Helps if everyone gives it a chance and doesn't unrealistically expect perfection from the first episode.

Walking Dead

You said no show.

And most great shows start off really good and just become great.

SHIELD could turn out to be great like GoT or Breaking Bad. Who knows, things happen like that. But for now we are discussing current episodes not what could happen in the future. When the show becomes great like Breaking Bad then we will disuss that.

Let's face it this show's whole premise to run off the coattails of Avengers, Ironman, ThorTDW, and now Cap2. And what is sad is the fanboys are eating it up, you know if DC pull this $hit they would be all over it saying the show cannot stand on its own legs! How embarrassing!
FantasticSpidey

@wcwpoet

Yep. So if those are our two options, i vote for the way the show is going now.

It's pretty entertaining and the episode with the Eye for instance really gave us a good look at what the show can be and what they are going for. Didn't see the twist coming at the end, and just imagine who that could be controlling people from the shadows.

You know, all the haters that have nothing good to say about the show need to either stop reading the articles involving the show. You can't expect disney to dish out the $$$$$ to make the show look like the movies. It is a TV show. True it started slow and some of the characters need a little more balls, but hey, it is a Marvel show on TV that has great easter eggs regarding our favorite heroes. No other TV show can take pieces out of a movie (Thor and TWS) and intertwine them. That is not shit, that is smart thinking and helps devlope stories. Heck the Mentalist can't get off the Red John series cause after that, the show is going to sink like the Titanic. Just wish the Marvel fan's would appreciate what they have and quitchabitchn.

So it's okay for DC to do the opposite and use Arrow to push Flash onto big screen?

Seems like a double-standard.

Whatev's . Haters gonna hate and trolls gonna troll. I like the show and will continue to watch it. If ya don't like it, don't watch it. Life's too short for all this pent up anger on this site. I think some of you mfer's need to get laid or blown. Chillax, have a brew and be cool.

@ Irishyard

Yeah there are plenty of shows that hit their stride within one or two episodes. This show is just slow and cumbersome to say the least. And to top it off they will continue to loose viewers just based off the good old bait and switch when they promoted this show.
