MOON KNIGHT Episode 5 Will Reportedly Feature The Debut Of Sofia Danu As [SPOILER]

Rumors began to swirl that Sofia Danu (Silent Witness, Moderately Satisfied) may have joined the cast of Moon Knight when she was spotted at the show's launch event earlier this year, and we may finally know who the Romanian actress is playing in the Disney+ series.

This Wednesday's fifth episode was actually sent out to some accounts prematurely shortly after the first four instalments were screened for critics. We didn't get to watch it, but according to reports from those who did, Danu will play a character we've heard a lot about but have yet to meet: Ammit.

We don't have many details, but we assume Danu will simply provide the voice of the crocodile-headed deity, who will be brought to life by CGI like Khonshu and our hippo friend from last week's episode, Taweret.

Arthur Harrow (Ethan Hawke) has made it clear that he'll stop at nothing to unleash Ammit, and it looks like he'll succeed in doing so during the penultimate episode. We still don't know exactly what's going on with Marc Spector and Steven Grant (Oscar Isaac) in that asylum, but if Moon Knight is set for a showdown with Harrow and Ammit, he won't have the now imprisoned Khonshu to aid him.

How do you guys seeing these last two episodes of Moon Knight playing out? Have you been enjoying the series so far? Let us know in the usual spot.

I am absolutely in love with this show and everything about it. I hope we get more of MK on his own or leading a movie/show before thrust into a Midnight Suns squad and stuff (Though I want that desperately too!).

Crazy, even got my parents hooked on this show and mindblown lmao.

The FIRST episode was a little weak. The second episode was really good. Episode three was alright. Episode four was bad / dull. They are not doing enough "character development." Who are the gods of Egypt and why should we give a hoot about whatever is going on in their world? As far as costumes go, the Moon Knight costume is pretty cool. They have so much room to do better...

I just googled her and the first video that comes up is this interview where she talks about Ammit. The video is 23 days old...

And on her instagram, in her last two posts she used the hashtag #ammit

and the emoji 🐊

@feht - so then who is she playing? It's clearly not Ammit.

@ElricReturns - My point was that she herself confirmed she is playing Ammit weeks ago...

I was referring to the beginning of the article: "Rumors began to swirl that Sofia Danu (Silent Witness, Moderately Satisfied) may have joined the cast of Moon Knight when she was spotted at the show's launch event earlier this year, and we may finally know who the Romanian actress is playing in the Disney+ series."

I'm sorry if I didn't make it clear 😅

I'm enjoying it greatly. It might become my favorite marvel show if it ends well. Right now Loki tops my list. Last episode was amazing, very Indiana Jones.

I mean I would like it more if it visually didn’t repeat some of the beats from legion and I’m not a fan of the layla character. She is an amalgamation of 3 comic characters thrown in so the show isn’t accused of the same thing the iron fist was...it feels a little off having a Jewish son of a rabbi marrying an Egyptian women (Palestinian)... this is just something that just doesn’t happen and it feels forced

@drbong - What do you know about what people do or do not do?

My wife and I are from polar opposite belief systems, with irreconcilable, fundamental differences, and everyone said it would never work, it just "doesn't happen."

We have a near perfect marriage.

@FortWaba - Likewise. I'm a white guy from Chicago (originally) married to a Chinese girl from Tianjin and we couldn't have been further apart when we first met. I'm from a middle-lower class family with 2 siblings and had to put myself through school all the way up through my PhD and was the first (and only one so far) in my family to get any type of degree (of course I graduated with $160K in student loans). My wife is an only child and her parents fawned over her so she never had to pay for anything before she came over here (she also got her PhD and STILL never had to pay anything :/). BUT, we connect on a lot of levels that transcend race, ethnicity, upbringing, etc., like we both have our doctorates in Computer Science, from the same university (we met because her research lab was next to mine, she came over one night to borrow my notes for an AI class, and I haven't been able to get rid of her since (turns out that the movie "Ice Age" is a helluva drug ;))). Of course the downside to that is that you can find yourself in a 2 1/2 hour argument about Java programming practices (true story). Her parents HATED me at first (especially her mom), then I gave them two beautiful granddaughters (which her mom thought that I wasn't capable of at the ripe old age of 38), and now they love me. Hell, I was over at their house replacing the innards of a toilet for them last weekend (they immigrated over her when our first daughter was born but they have no idea how to do anything around the house for themselves).

My point with this unnecessarily long and rambling post is just to reinforce what you were saying in a much shorter and more concise way: to paraphrase Dr. Ian Malcom "Uh love uh uh finds uh a way".

@FortWaba - are you Jewish and is your partner Palestinian specifically raised in a very religious way? Then you have no idea what you are talking about. Because I am Jewish and this whole show is borderline offensive. People have been calling it out since Oscar Isaac has been cast.

@drbong - don't pigeonhole people to your standards. If you think all jewish people are the same or all Palestinian people are same, then you are an idiot. Even more so if you think a jewish person has never had a Palestinian partner. get off the internet and get out into the world. I can walk down the street and see examples of people that makes everything you said completely false. if you can't, that's on you for being closeminded and living under a rock.

I've been enjoying this show so far, and I love how they just jumped into the supernatural stuff without needing to science it up. Hopefully they can stick the landing.

I think the show is actually pretty boring. The only reason i watch it is because it more than likely ties into something else. But it aint great. Layla i do like though.

Did I somehow miss Ammit in episode 5? or is this article saying that Marcs mother is Ammit? considering who wrote the article, I wouldn't be surprised if it was just clickbait BS as usual
