Despite being a little chaotic (which some might argue was fitting for a series about a character with multiple personalities), Moon Knight proved to be a fun ride when it hit Disney+ last year.
Oscar Isaac has made it clear he didn't sign a long-term deal with Marvel Studios but seems keen to reprise the role. As of right now, the official word is that Moon Knight was a "limited series," but it would be baffling for that big Jake Lockley tease to be addressed in anything other than a second season.
The Cosmic Circus definitely seems confident that one is on the way, anyway, revealing that they've heard Kang will somehow factor into it.
This is almost certainly a reference to Rama-Tut, a Variant we first met in Ant-Man and The Wasp: Quantumania's mid-credits scene. In the comic books, he was a Kang that travelled back in time to Ancient Egypt and got stuck, making the best of a bad situation by ruling that period before fooling the Fantastic Four into freeing him.
With all signs pointing to Rama-Tut, The Centurion, and Immortus taking centre stage in Avengers: The Kang Dynasty, Moon Knight season 2 would arguably be the perfect place to flesh out at least one of them.
Many fans were baffled by the decision not to include a Rama-Tut reference in the show's first batch of episodes, though Head Writer Jeremy Slater later revealed that there was a time the villain did receive at least a mention. That was cut for unknown reasons.
As always, it's best to take a rumour like this with a pinch of salt, particularly as Moon Knight hasn't been officially renewed as of yet. With Marvel Studios said to be looking to get back to quality over quantity, it's also hard to say where a second season could fit into the Multiverse Saga without further delays.
Stay tuned for updates.
