MOON KNIGHT Star Oscar Isaac Confirms He's Spoken With Marvel Studios About Possible Season 2 Or Movie

Moon Knight ended with a lot more story to tell, and Oscar Isaac confirms he's spoken with Marvel Studios about when and where they'll continue the stories of Marc Spector, Steven Grant, and Jake Lockley.

Moon Knight ended up being a tad muddled, though that felt somewhat appropriate for a series about an unhinged vigilante like Marc Spector. Despite its flaws, the six-episode TV show served as a solid introduction for the character, and a last-minute mid-credits scene featuring Jake Lockley only served to increase excitement for the character's future.

Marvel Studios has yet to reveal what that will look like, and the hope among fans is that Moony will either return in a season 2 or big screen outing.

Well, according to star Oscar Isaac, both options have been discussed.

"There have been some specific conversations. They were pleasant. The spilling of the details is that there are no details. We don't know [if there will be a second season], but we're talking about it," the actor tells ComicBook.com. "Truthfully, it's about the story. 'Is there a story worth telling? Is it interesting? Will I feel embarrassed about it when it comes out?'"

"So, it's just about, 'Is there something worth pouring everything you have into?' And with Moon Knight, that was very much about that. It's creating a structure so that every morning when the alarm went off, I couldn't wait to get to the set because I wanted to try something different."

"Whether [Isaac's Moon Knight returns] in a group thing or maybe a great idea comes around for a season two or if it's a standalone film or whatever it could be," Isaac continues, "I think it's just approaching it in that kind of way. It's the story first."

When Moon Knight was released, the show's lead repeatedly told journalists that he had only signed up for this one six-episode season. Clearly, Isaac is keen to reprise the role, and while he could easily play a supporting role in a future movie, common sense says the best next step would be a season 2.

In the finale, Marc and Steven Grant seemingly rid themselves of Khonshu, though we'd soon learn that the Moon God had been making use of Jake the entire time.

What do you hope to see from Moon Knight in the MCU moving forward?

I've thought every Marvel Studios show was great but I'm also glad She-Hulk is moving on into movies. First, she will be in Captain America: New World Order which already been confirmed that Leader will be with main villain. Leading to a World War Hulk movie.

Harrison Ford is set to play General "Thunderbolt" Ross in Captain America: New World Order, and we now have some exciting details about what to expect from the villain.

Marvel Making a Hulk Movie In the meantime been reported just a couple of weeks ago that Liv Tyler is in talks with Marvel to reprise her role as Betty Ross in the upcoming Captain America: New World Order. Along with being Bruce Banner’s love interest in his solo film, in the comics Ross has had a number of her own gamma-powered aliases including the Harpy, Red She-Hulk, and Red Harpy. Whether she’ll be appearing as one of these super-powered

@DoubleD - Has all of that been confirmed? I kinda assumed She-Hulk would be in CA:NWO after Leader was announced, but I kinda expected him to at least be hinted at in the She-Hulk finale so when he wasn't I kinda had my doubts.

It'd be interesting to see Betty reintroduced into the MCU after all this time but personally I hope they don't give her powers. Always thought she represented the normal life Bruce was never able to have thanks to The Hulk, and was one of the only people capable of bringing out the remnants of humanity and peace within The Hulk, so just giving her powers and turning her into another CGI character designed to smash things feels kind of unappealing.

@AC1 - She-Hulk Attorney at Law had a lot more Hulk's cliffhangers from spaceships to introducing a son. All Hulk's will be in Phases 5, 6 and 7. :)

Been reported everywhere more Hulk's are coming. Especially, When Kevin Feige Introduced Tim Blake Nelson the Leader will be the BIG BAD in Captain America New World Order.

World War Hulk movie is coming sooner than later :)

Seeing as Marvel/Disney Plus are shaking things up with their Special Presentations like Werewolf By Night, maybe they could experiment with some more release formats; maybe something like a middle-ground between the 9x 30min episode series format and the one-off 55m special presentations, like maybe a miniseries of 3x 55m episodes. The extended runtime gives each episode more scope to breathe and really go deep into the story, but the shorter number of episodes means there's no room for filler and would hopefully make for more concise and focused storytelling.

Whatever happens, I really hope we get to see Oscar return as Moon Knight soon. Not entirely sure why the series is getting so much hate around here now (remember it getting kind of a mixed-to-positive reception when it was airing) but personally I thought it was great - not perfect, but pretty damn good, and there was definitely a ton of potential for the character going forward.

I had never read moon night and always read it was compared to Batman but did a little research before watching. All the excitement about it was what really got me interested but I found myself disappointed and a little confused. Would like to see more though just to see I can get into it more. Hopefully it returns.

Moon Knight was fairly middle of the road in terms of quality. That being said, I want more. Love the lore and character and Oscar Isaac was perfect as the lead.

A movie would be cool. If they stick with it as a show, ramp up the supernatural and mythological aspects please.

Stick him with Jack and Ted. That's the way to go.

And so he should be embarrassed after cutting off Steven Grant's balls like that.

Recast if he doesn't want it, simple.

Good. This was one of the best Marvel D+ shows so far, we need a season 2 or movie. And sooner than later.

@HeavyMetal4Life - I would say it was better than Ms. Marvel, Falcon & Winter Soldier, and She-Who-Must-Not-Be-Named, but it definitely seemed afraid to embrace the comic probably because Feige was terrified of Moon Knight being called a Batman-ripoff.

I don't get the hate for this show. I really liked the series. I liked Oscar's performance, in fact I liked Ethan, May and Murray characters as well. I wished they didn't do huge CGI battle in the end. Could have trimmed a little here and there. I loved music they used. Can't understand whether I watched same series or not from those who hate it.

Moon Knight was pretty good, but it needed more Moon Knight.

Should hve been a movie rather than a series. Whatever, so long as he comes back somewhere.

I really enjoyed Moon Knight all the way up to the final episode. Oscar Isaac was carrying that show HARD.

Unfortunately that last episode really dropped the ball.

Most of the Disney+ shows have had a problem with a rushed and overstuffed ending, but Moon Knight was probably the worst offender as it literally sacrifices a satisfying conclusion for forshadowing.

I think the problem with Moon Knight as well as Deadpool in the comics is that each new writer does something completely different with the character and completely ignores a majority of what was established in the previous runs so that there's no concrete continuity for the character over time. Although, the Charlie Huston run does feel like a modern age take on the Doug Moench run from the early 80s.
