SHE-HULK: ATTORNEY AT LAW Concept Art Offers A Whole Range Of Alternate Takes On The Hulk's Son Skaar

Some newly revealed She-Hulk: Attorney at Law concept art has offered a variety of alternate designs for the MCU's Skaar, a few of which we're sure you'll agree are even better than what we got on Disney+.

Prior to She-Hulk: Attorney at Law's debut on Disney+, there were rumblings that the series might feature Skaar's MCU debut. When a Sakaarian spaceship came to Earth in the premiere, those rumours were all but confirmed, though we didn't see The Hulk's son until the finale.

That came in a throwaway scene when Bruce Banner showed up at Jennifer Walters' family barbeque with Skaar in tow. Wil Deusner (Stargirl) played the character, but never spoke (meaning there's a chance he'll eventually be swapped out for a bigger name, similar to what happened with Cassie Lang after Avengers: Endgame).

Fans didn't exactly love the design, and there's since been quite a vocal backlash. However, some concept art shared by Constantine Sekeris reveals we came pretty close to getting a far more formidable, comic-accurate take on the Jade Giant's offspring.

There's also the "emo" Skaar spotted in some recent storyboards, along with one who looks like he's been in his fair share of battles back on his home planet. Why Marvel Studios went for the version we got in She-Hulk: Attorney at Law is hard to say, though we do look forward to the character's continued development in The Multiverse Saga and beyond.

The MCU's take on the Planet Hulk storyline was vastly different to what fans saw on the page, so we have no clue who the teenager's (?) mother is or how he feels to be by his father's side on an alien planet.

It doesn't look like they'll have the same combative relationship as when they first met in the comics, anyway, and The Hulk is now the latest original Avenger to acquire a sidekick.

Check out this new She-Hulk: Attorney at Law concept art below, along with details from Sekeris on his approach to each design.

That reveal of Skarr was so terrible, on so many levels, especially the design of him

World War Hulk is coming can't wait for more Skaar. No stopping this Marvel Studio's train :)

@DoubleD -
At this point, does World War Hulk matter though? They ruined Hulk's arc and cut out his development so he turns back into Bruce during Infinity War despite them stating that was not possible in Ragnarok. Then they cut his development in Infinity War so he randomly merges personalities off-screen between films. Then they belittled his character in She-Hulk. Now we have Skaar just randomly shoved into things without the initial scene seeing Hulk meeting him or any of the emotional attachment, it's just 'hey, here's my son'

This is not how I'd have wanted World War Hulk to be adapted - and unless it's disguised as Captain America 4 I'm not sure where you'd shove it in the timeline of film releases so we are likely four years away, meaning later 2026

@Scarilian - There's still hope for the Maestro, if only for a movie. Maybe as hailing from one of the
multiverse realities.

@Scarilian - Well that's your opinion great but that's clearly not mine. Captain America: New World Order May 3,2024 is now my most anticipated Marvel movie. With the Leader confirmed has big bad it will be a Hulk reunion movie. Now with Harrison Ford playing the Red Hulk :)

@Scarilian - he turns into Banner in Ragnarok...

How they didn't go with the first design is beyond me.
It's a solid design compared to the one we got on the show.
ALthough I'm sure all Hulk characters are going to get a redesign for the World War Hulk flick.

Well they definitely made some peculiar choices, I'll say that.

I won't be quick to judge the characterization of Skaar based on just 2 seconds at the end of She-Hulk, especially since I know very little about the character, but to be honest the barbarian look so far remains more appealing to me than whatever the rest of these designs are supposed to be.

Skaar’s reveal was as pathetically terrible as the rest of the series. Hardily a surprise.

Where the [frick] were their head at when they came up we these designs and his introduction?

...did they go out of their way to choose the worst design they could find?

@Origame -
Recently Beau DeMayo stated that the writers for the Witcher series were not fans of the source material, hating it and the audience of the original source material for liking it.

I feel this scenario is playing out with those involved in the creation of Marvel currently, some of this stuff seems designed to insult the fans and people who enjoyed the source material.
