THE PUNISHER Set Photos Offer A Much Closer (And Disappointing) Look At Jigsaw

Some awesome new photos from the set of The Punisher have surfaced today and these not only feature great shots of Frank Castle in action but confirmation that this version of Jigsaw isn't that scarred.

Just Jared has shared some fantastic photos from the set of The Punisher which provide an even closer look at that gunfight between Frank Castle and his old friend Billy Russo. While the small screen version of the character has a very different origin story, season one ended with the vigilante slicing his face up in a shattered mirror and given the amount of blood, it was clear he'd never be the same again.

However, it's clear from these images (which you can check out by clicking on the link in the Tweet below) that Billy really isn't too badly scarred and he's a long way off from looking anything like his comic book counterpart. After all, while it wouldn't be nice looking in the mirror and seeing that face staring back at you, this version of Jigsaw really isn't that ugly and it's fair to say he's a disappointment.

What do you guys think? Was a more grounded approach to Jigsaw in The Punisher the right move or should the Netflix series have stuck a little closer to the source material? Share your thoughts below.
