In "The Return of The Mandalorian," Din Djarin was recruited by Fennec Shand to lend Boba Fett a helping hand in his war against the Pyke Syndicate. Now, with just two episodes of The Book of Boba Fett left, it appears we'll be spending even more time with The Mandalorian's lead character...and perhaps a couple of other familiar faces!
The final few moments of the latest chapter strongly hinted we'll see Grogu next week, but Cinelinx is now reporting that they've previously heard rumblings that both The Child and Luke Skywalker would be making appearances in the Disney+ series. It now seems highly likely that will happen this coming Wednesday, and it's worth noting the site has always been pretty solid for Star Wars intel.
Max Lloyd-Jones, the actor who doubled for Mark Hamill/Luke Skywalker in The Mandalorian's season 2 finale, played one of the X-Wing pilot in the latest instalment of The Book of Boba Fett, so there's every chance he was on hand to shoot additional scenes at the Jedi Knight.
If "The Return of The Mandalorian" made anything clear, it's that the stage is being set for Din and Grogu to reunite. That repurposed Naboo Starfighter even has a space for the adorable "Baby Yoda" to sit, so something will clearly happen to lead to Grogu deciding that he no longer wants to be trained by Luke (however, it's far too early in the timeline for Ben Solo to be in any way responsible).
We'll see what happens, but Dave Filoni is expected to helm the next episode of The Book of Boba Fett, and that likely means it will be heavy on this Galaxy Far, Far Away's Jedi lore!
