Finally!!! Its about time they came out with a good Batman game. It's a shame good comic based games are usually so few and far between.

Sweeeet. Gonna be like Resident Evil with Batman.
Shaman
Shaman - 7/14/2009, 8:50 AM
Teabag- It's on PS3 and XB360. And looking at it, it really is exactly like the Batman Begins game. With more stealth, better story and cooler details.

Yep. Definitely looks awesome. Looks like I've got between now and then to get a PS3, haha

Cool but I hope there are more villians than that. Batman has one of the most well-developd rogues gallery, so only choosing a handful would be criminal, especially since this whole game takes place where all the baddies are being housed ;)

now i can´t even see this damn video at work!! damn.

Shaman_ good for you!! (if you provide me the info from your purchase, i would gladly take it home for you!! unfortunately, Canada has just started to ask for a VISA to people from Mexico as from today!!) So it may take a while.. ;-[

SirJed- No one other than me is touching that baby LOL Well maybe InstigatorGIRL :P

ironknight27- I exchanged a few games and paid all of the rest of the amount. Now all that's left is for it to come to daddy :))

I haven't been anticipating a game this much since Tenchu: Wrath of Heaven for my old PS2!!! :))

Good point actually Supdog.

Shaman- I get paid tomorrow and I am paying this sucker off. I am glad it is coming a week earlier then reported when I reserved the game. Have you played lego Batman? I have been playing it recently and I am actually enjoying it.
Xfactorz
Xfactorz - 7/14/2009, 9:20 AM
That game looks awesome!

@Shaman- How was Tenchu: Wraith of Heaven? Was that #2 or #3? I loved playing the first one when it came out.
Shaman
Shaman - 7/14/2009, 9:20 AM
Is it really that good??? I saw it brand new on the PS3 for like 20$!!! I was wondering if i should buy it. They also had the starwars lego collection. Not sure if they're all good. Is there any kinda stealth moves in Batman Lego???

Xfactorz- Actually, i've never seen a game beat Wrath Of Heaven yet!!! It is by very very far my very most favorite game ever invented :)) I've always felt that we needed a Tenchu inspired Batman game and i think Arkham Asylum is probably as close as we'll ever get to it :)) I enjoyed Tenchu 1 and 2, 2 more cause of Tatsumaru. But WOH offers a new assasin that you can control if you beat the game with Ayame and Rikimaru. I don't remember what his name is cause it's been a long time since i played it but he was my favorite. He wasn't a ninja, he was an assasin for hire. He past himself off as a acupuncturist by day LOL. He throws needles and kills with his bare hands!!! He has the coolest stealth kills :)) Unfortunitly, he has the least amount of missions but they're all great!!! A MUST BUY!!!!!

Oh and Tenchu: Fatal Shadows by SEGA SUCKED MAJOR BALLS!!! Rin the "new" character has like no skills and her story sucks. Rikimaru isn't even in it. Regular enemies can perform stealth kills on you in battle mode like WTF?!?!?! Worst possible addition to the franchise!!! ANd on the Wii, Ubisoft made a "tenchu:silent shadows" game with those funky controlers. I haven't played it yet. I'd love for Ubisoft to make a Tenchu game for the PS3!!! I like almost all their games. Prince of Persia, Assassin's creed etc. They'd make a killer new Tenchu :))

SirJediFrank - 7/14/2009, 9:22 AM
I was very glad to know from another post that one of your all time favorites is the Tenchu Saga. in fact the very first 2 Tenchu titles from the original PS One are SOOOO GOOOD.. i mean, of course the graphics apart, the game experience itself, the "feeling" by playing it, it was nice to play it at night you know..
SirJediFrank
SirJediFrank - 7/14/2009, 9:25 AM
From the original Xbox i have the Tenchu: Return From Darkness.. did that Wrath From Heaven came out for the old Xbox as well?? That would mean i may still get it out there..

..Which new titles from Tenchu are already out there for the Xbox 360 and PS3??
ironknight27
ironknight27 - 7/14/2009, 9:32 AM
Shaman- Its not spectacular or anything but it is fun. The gameplay is pretty simple and basic and I dont think there are any stealth moves. I would say rent it before buying it.
Shaman
Shaman - 7/14/2009, 9:39 AM
Sirjed- The only new Tenchu is out on the Wii. The Tenchu: Return from Darkness IS Wrath of Heaven. WOH came out way before on the PS2. Then, x-box bought the rights or cut a deal or something to have that game on the x-box. They renamed it but it is essencially the same game. After all that, came Tenchu: Fatal Shadows by Sega. Like i said above, unless you have time and money to waste, it's hardly worth it. As for the last game out on the Wii, Tenchu: Silent Shadows, i really can't say since i haven't played it. But you get to perform the stealth kills yourself with the Wii controlers. I personnaly find that lame.

ironknight27- Urgh, i don't rent games. I hardly have time to play them anyway. I guess i'll just pass on it :)

This going to be a kick ass Batman game...and about time. The Begins game got old and stale really fast, just doing the same shit over and over. But this game seems to put many elements from the new movies into the game play. I have been playing video games since my dad bought me the Atari. Many hours of Asteroids, Commando and Yars Revenge! Coming from a big gaming dork....I'm excited about this game!!!!
SirJediFrank
SirJediFrank - 7/14/2009, 10:01 AM
oooh. well thanks for the info.. better you than the guy from a store that´d have told me : "It is the same game that you already got, you ass!" kind of.
Well indeed it is great, no wonder then why Microsoft wanted it so bad!

About the lego games, the ones from the Star Wars prequels and the original trilogy are fun in the Xbox 1.

But for example, i saw that the Batman-LEGO was included in the PS3 package.. that means the game is VERY good (special editions like Resident Evil 5 or Halo 3 Xbox360 Console plus game) OR the game itself won´t sell very well stand alone and that way the can sell it faster, right?
ironknight27
ironknight27 - 7/14/2009, 10:08 AM
Shaman- How about borrowing it first?
Shaman
Shaman - 7/14/2009, 10:13 AM
SirJed- Can't say about what it really means LOL :P It's just not my thang. I'm very very picky and unusual when it comes to games i'm willing to buy.

Teabag & RolandOfGilead- I personnaly LOVED the hell out of Begins but yes it did get old. Which is why i traded it in to help me pay off Arkham Asylum :)) It was the very first Batman Game with decent Stealth moves. Pitty it was only to instill fear before you swooped down to kick basic ass. It was cool to play again with different unlocked suits though :)) Hope Arkham Asylum will have different unlockable suits aswell :))

ironknight27- i don't really have any friends that play games, let alone own "Lego Batman" LOL :P But if i did, i'd probably have played it over at their place first :P

AND EVERYONE SHOULD GET A PS3 WITH INFAMOUS!!! AMAZING GAME :)) Not as good as Tenchu: WOH of course LOL :P

I made amistake. the console that includes the Batman-LEGO is the PSPortable. the box is golden-colored.
ironknight27
ironknight27 - 7/14/2009, 10:26 AM
Shaman- That sux. I also enjoyed Batman Begins. It really wasnt well received but I thought it was a solid game. The game play was kind of basic but I liked how you could instill fear to weaken your enemies.
SirJediFrank
SirJediFrank - 7/14/2009, 10:29 AM
Roland@ oh yeah! those were the days.. there also was Dig-Dug, the Tarzan-like, Enduro (formula 1), of course PacMan and one of the Crowns: Star Wars(the Hoth battle game) where the AT-AT´s looked like freakin camels..that IS a classic.. and Valuable $$$$. unfortunately that cartridge was lost a few years ago, when i was not at my dad´s home living anymore, and they dumped A LOT of old stuff..including the Atari and the Original Nintendo.. damn! The Batman: Return of The Joker was fun also..kind of lame hehe. but again, the "cassette" cartridge itself would look cool to have it on display.

teabag@ really? do they float along with your bubbles? lol!! ;-]

Shaman yes!"! Tenchu RULES!

RolandOfGilead - 7/14/2009, 10:31 AM
There are several unlockables from what I read in Game Informer...so look forward to playing it multiple times!
Shaman
Shaman - 7/14/2009, 10:37 AM
You know, Batman Begins could have done without the damn Batmobile stages. It could also have been a bit longer. And the icing on the cake would have been if you could hide in shadows or something (kinda like "Manhunt" from Rockstar games). It would certainly have made it the very best Batman game ever. Arkham Asylum seems to have really cool additions. I think we're getting there. But what i really really want, is to have a free-roaming batman game(like InFamous) that you can grapple from building to building, jump and glide from rooftop to rooftop, call on your batmobile to get to farther places in gotham and have Tenchu like controls with stealth knock downs and hide in shadows capabilities. That would be the very best game ever possibly made.

teabag @ lol!!
RolandOfGilead
RolandOfGilead - 7/14/2009, 10:52 AM
@ Shaman...I agree, an open world Batman game would be the shit! The way you described it is perfect. Tenchu controls with a free roaming feel of Infamous/GTA would really change the comic book video game world...forever.

SirJediFrank - 7/14/2009, 10:52 AM
funny i was only gonna post my rant over not being able to see the trailer, and the posts turned to be very cool and informative.. man i love this site. =-])
--

Shaman i almost had a nerdgasm by reading your description of the ultimate Batman game possible!! hoooooo !
;]
may i add, it would be cool to step into any building, or at least a reasanoble number of them in Gotham AND IN THE DOCKS... not only by the front door of course, IT IS Batman.. if you could sneak in Spider Man-Metal Gear Solid style or through the damn window it would be soooo awesome. ooohh ooooh! again! ;-]
ironknight27
ironknight27 - 7/14/2009, 11:01 AM
Shaman- You just know that if this game sells well (and it will) that they will make a sequel. They left out a couple of villains that could pop up in a sequel like Two-Face. Hopefully the sequel will incoporate alot of what you talked about. I would love it if they would have a free roam game set in Gotham.

InstigatorGIRL- Oh but you are, my dear. Don't let anybody ever tell you any different! And i know all sorts of things about girls ;P "Men are from Mars" my ass!!! LOL :P

Teabag- Oh, it was quite the spectacle. I think it's worth a refresher my good friend ;)

RolandOfGilead- Yes, the GTA aspect would come in handy for the Batmobile moments :) Also, i think it's something that actually lacked in InFamous, the fact that there were about three different cars including the cop cars in the game LOL A detail easily ignored however ;)

SirJediFrank- I agree, this site does kick major ass ;)) And yes, going into any building you'd want would be amazing however, i don't think that even the PS3 has that power. If the X-Box couldn't even get InFamous, they'd never get that type of game. You would need a blu ray for sure and an engine powerfull enough to show all the details. But it would be jaw dropping, ground breaking, game making!!!

ironknight27- Good point, if they did the sequel they very well could incorporate free roaming in the rest of Gotham. However, Eidos has never done that type of game before. Maybe "Sucker Punch" (the makers of InFamous) could get the rights for the follow up :)) They could follow up with a "No Man's Land" concept having Gotham semi destroyed after "Arkham Asylum". The streets would be empty so they'd save on the car details. The buildings would be semi open to brouse and semi broken down. And it could also end with Cassandra Cain dawning the cowl as Batgirl. An unlockable character that could have a few missions of her own while Gotham attemps to re-build itself after Batman saves the day. What do you guys think???
ironknight27
ironknight27 - 7/14/2009, 12:30 PM
Shaman- I loved the No Man's Land storyline! That would have been a very interesting game because so many characters were involved. I think just about every member of the Rogue's Gallery played a part. It had a sort of Year one feel to it that just made for a great story.

Shaman - 7/14/2009, 12:55 PM
Oh yes, this game must be done!!! :))
