Fans of the God of War game must surely remember the cryptic after-credits scene that followed after the ending of GOW3, which was surely going to lead into a part four of the critically acclaimed series. Well, a new installment is confirmed for a future release, but it's not what you think it might be.
God of War: Ascension seems more than likely to be a prequel to the trilogy that exploits the adventures of Kratos, the main protagonist, before he became the legendary and accursed Ghost of Sparta. The exact details of the plot are unknown for the time being, but in the teaser trailer posted below, you get a subtle glimpse of what's to come through the narration of the titan Gaia.
As I'm not really to keen on prequels, I'm pretty excited about this, as all of the GOW games have been nothing short of spectacular. What do you guys think?
