The classic side scroller beat-em-up of the 1990s has been re-released on the XBLA and PSN for the price of $9.99. The classic arcade game features six playable XMEN. The playable characters include such mainstays as Wolverine, Cyclops, Colossus, Storm, Nightcrawler, and Dazzler. Fight through legions of Sentinels and fight bosses like Magneto, Mystique, Pyro and more.Use mutant power specific to your character as well. Local 4 player co-op is available on Xbox while the full 6 player local co-op is available on the Playstation. Both versions include the new features of online 6 player co-op.Both the US and Japanese versions of the game available and can be toggled on, respectively. Achievement and Trophy support are also included in the game. While the graphic have been dated, the gameplay is endlessly re-playable. The game is up to 25-45 minutes long with two separate difficulties. Personally, I purchased the game this morning and Em on my third play-through. For the price of 10 bucks (800 msp), nostalgia can be yours. A free trial is available and the game is roughly 44 mb. XMEN Unite!

Some might think 'been there, done that and stocked up on my nostalgia thanks to MAME!' but I am guessing the achievement feature is a new addition that was not present with the old arcade version.

God i can already hear Colossus' mutant power up yell! Remember that thing? I remember hearing it halfway across the arcade over all the other games. It's so distinct.
