Production of HBO's live-action television series based on Naughty Dog's The Last of Us video game is well underway. Pedro Pascal (The Mandalorian) and Bella Ramsey (Game of Thrones) will star as Joel and Ellie, and the cast also includes Gabriel Luna as Tommy, Anna Torv as Tess and, just last month, the series added Nick Offerman as Bill.
Though it has been stated that the first season will cover the events of the original The Last of Us video game, the series may also be dipping into the prequel DLC expansion, The Last of Us: Left Behind. You see, the character of Riley was only name-dropped during The Last of Us, but The Last of Us: Left Behind revolved around her and Ellie.
Recently, actress Storm Reid arrived in Canada at the same time the cast and crew of HBO's The Last of Us series returned to Calgary to continue production (via The Last of Us Updates). As if that wasn't suspicious enough, Reid's mother posted a photo to Instagram upon arriving in the country and the caption mentions a certain "popular video game turned into a television series."
Furthermore, Ellie actress Bella Ramsey and Reid follow each other on social media. There's no mention of Riley throughout any of this, but Reid matches the character's description to a tee and is the same age as Ramsey, which has led to a lot of online speculation.
Reid is best known for portraying Rue's sister, Gia, in HBO series Euphoria and also played a minor role in The Suicide Squad as Bloodsport's daughter, Tyla.
