Two lost images from the Joss Whedon's Wonder Woman movie have surfaced online.

Last week DC decided to revamp Wonder Woman with a new costume. Some think it's for the upcoming Wonder Woman movie.

Now, Hollywood costume designer Shawna Trpcic has posted her designs for the character, which were commissioned by Joss Whedon a few years back when he was attached to the movie. Interesting enough, they look similar to the new costume. However, these designs retain more of the traditional Wonder Woman elements than the new comic designs do. Check them out below.

Hmm. The one right above to the right looks really similar to the costume used in "Jonah Hex." To be honest, I like the new costume DC has given her better than these images.

They should have a design contest!

I would switch the gold to bronze or iron. Less diva princess more Amazon warrior.

If they're going to revamp her, I'd prefer the top one (but the shoulder straps HAVE to go!).

Maybe they had Megan Fox in mind
(Um hopefully not)

Well, I still don't find it to be an improvement on the original, but the top one with just the pants isn't too much of a departure. Why are we re-inventing the wheel again?

Destroyer14- Good stuff bud! The one with the straps and pants looks pretty good but i'd prefer a gladiator type blue leather & metal skirt ;)

Oh and Greeko/Roman battle sandals of course :))

I suppose the designs on the very bottom are alright... But I don't understand why we can't just have the classic costume!?! It's not like it's not possible to make! The only change that I would make to the classic costume is to change the torso part into red armor.

must have the bustier as part of the costume!!!!!!

I like the blu pants...with the old style top ...
The granny panties are so old school...just like superman and batman wearing panties over speedos.

Seems like everyone thinks the star spangled panties would be rude or inappropriate. I think this is was an excellent observation.

They should mix these two costumes and give it a real look.. and a skirt like Jim Lee, and all would be right. ahha

just use the boots from the first pic

I can deal with all these designs, save for the trench coat, far more than the shitty new look DC has come up with. The top two are basically WW with pants, simple and acceptable. I think the whole retcon is utterly pointless.

wow, those designs look [frick]ing retarded.
YogiDonnie

I actually think the Joss Whedon design is better than the one DC just put into the re-vamped comic book, except the one with the trench coat, dumb. The Joss Whedon designs at least keep the spirit of the costume.

Did you guys see the one on the cover of PLAYBOY? The one that was painted on? I like that one. They should use that one! It's edgy and provacative and yet nostalgic.

I love WW traditional costume. In my opinion there is no need to change it.

I like the one on the left in the last picture. That's Wonder Woman. The boots are little too long, but, other than that, I like it. If you could take the top half of the new comic picture of Wonder woman and get rid of the jacket, then add that to the bottom half of the one I like, then I would be happy.

They've gotta just go with the classic WW costume, or it's just not WW!

This is how she should look. Incorporating those images, a little change is good. Sorry, my photoshopping skills are bad, but you get the idea.

I'm sorry, but the new look is completely inappropriate for the character. I would much rather see this on the big screen.

Timerider84
Timerider84 - 7/7/2010, 8:07 PM
I like that one too, she should start out in something like that Skyler, then a more sleek design at the very end of the film. Something that she puts together after her initial outfit is damaged in a fight. Since she lives in the US, she looks up at a US flag hanging over a building and decides to repair her outfit using the flag. Could be kind of a Spider-man type ending, after she makes repairs to her costume, they play the heroic theme as she changes from Diana to Wonder Woman and we see the new and improved costume, as she's wisking through the air after the bad guy.
