Possible WONDER WOMAN SPOILERS Regarding 'Steve Trevor' & Those Set Pics

When we saw Chris Pine decked out in World War I garb in those recently released images from the Wonder Woman set, we figured Steve Trevor must only feature in the portion of the movie that's set in the past. Well, there might just be something else going on there...

Fans were disappointed when these Wonder Woman set snaps seemed to confirm that Steve Trevor would only factor into the World War I portion of the movie, but it turns out Chris Pine might actually be playing dual roles - and that wasn't Steve Trevor all, but his grandfather!

According to Heroic Hollywood, it'll be the dear ol' granddaddy that helps Gal Gadot's Diana defeat Ares in the past before passing away (they don't specify if he's killed in battle or not), and then when the time-frame shifts to present say she'll encounter his grandson, Steve, and he'll team up with her to take on Ares once again.

If this is true, obviously Steve will look identical to his grandfather, which is a well-worn (and rather silly) plot device that's all but been phased out of movie's in recent years. What do you guys make of this rumor? Wonder Woman hits theaters June 23, 2017.

Haha, nice. I'd be down for this, and feel like Pine could definitely off the dual roles

This is a very anti climactic scoop(if even true), but it is still an interesting detail nonetheless. The period piece concept really makes me dig this film, though. I absolutely adore the concept of Wonder Woman fighting alongside grandpa steve trevor in world war 1 in a completely different costume that is relevant to the times and showing her perspective of the war.

Another one of El Maybe's "Let's claim as scoop what fans have been speculating for two days!" I do not understand why anyone still considers him to be a credible source. I guess he's just gonna ignore his "Variety's lying: WB is only pretending that Chris Pine is playing Steve Trevor" scoop.

Yea, this does happen in real life. Just hope it doesn't throw off the audience a little.

Another fan theory passed off as a "scoop" by Heroic Hollywood... yay

I'd be fine with this being true though.. for the record.

I think I'd rather they'd go with a clone, or throw Steve in lazarus pit. The identical grandson is kinda stupid to me.

honestly, its a woman who was made my a goddess out of clay untill new52 and she is the daughter of Zeus now, and she is shagging superman in the comics not steve trevor (so all the superman banging lois jokes can be reversed if a mortal human bangs a demi-goddess) so NOW chris pine might play his own relative..??

Nice, I'm all for the dual roles

It makes sense too, as far as looks go, especially for the age that SteveTrevor would be in past and present

Scott looks almost identical to Clint when he was his age too, not accounting for a different hairstyle, etc, ha

@KryptonianBorn

Did I say it wouldn't work? Nope... You should change your tampon.

All I said was CHRIS BIG DADDY KIRK HEMSWORTH is already involved somewhere else... So of course the only plausible other actor to play Chris Pines father is of course Chris Pine... Duhh...

"hell, tony stark has TWO dads and it seemed to work..."

Are you against gays having children? Did RDJR play both his fathers? Just curious? I haven't seen any RDJR movies since Less Than Zero.

Can happen but is a trope of movies and a little bit Bollywood.

But here are pics of parents and grandparents who looked like their offspring.

After watching the Back to the Future trilogy recently I can say that this approach works under the right circumstances. I'm just not quite sure if I'd neccessarily be able to take it very seriously.
