Today has been a great day for DC news thanks to the lastest Empire magazine cover story showing off Batman v Superman. We not only learn about Batman and Superman, but we also learned some details about the upcoming Wonder Woman film which will be directed by Monsters's Patty Jenkins. It will star Gal Gadot as Wonder Woman and Chris Pine as Steve Trevor. The magazine claims that:

Logistically it is staggering. As Batman V Superman gains its coat of special effects, and the various stages of editing, scoring, grading and sound mixing are completed, Deborah Snyder, along with Roven is watching over a sandbox that stretches around the world. Jenkins is in London prepping Wonder Woman, which will shoot there this autumn.

Hopefully some of the Wonder Woman film will also be filmed in Greece. Filming some scenes at Zeus's Temple and places like that. This way it keeps its Greek mythology roots.

Oh my... I could potentially be in the same city as Goddess Gadot, MIND BLOWN.

I'm worried with the Pine casting.
I hope with him being a bigger star they don't try and shoe horn him to the forefront unnecessarily and that he still is the Love Interest (albeit a more bad ass) but I hope Diana still saves the day.

I hope they've done screen tests,
Because I'm convinced they didn't do chemistry screen tests with Chris Hemsworth and Natalie Portman and just hired her because she's an A List star.

I hope this isn't the case with WW! And they have actually got chemistry

Nice. London is a beautiful city. A Wonder Woman movie should definitely have a globe-trotting aspect. Well, I guess that would also depend on whether this will be a origin/period piece like CA:TFA, or take place in present day.

Diana needs to learn about the world beyond Themyscira, so it would great to her interacting with different cultures and civilizations around the world. She is supposed to be an ambassador for her world after all, which is sort of hinted at in the BVS trailers.

Awesome news, Thought they'd start filming next year since it's set for a 2017 release? But that's actually a good thing, Since this may have a lot of Visual Effects and want to perfect everything. Remember this is the first Female Superhero, And is as iconic as Bats & Supes. Can't wait to see how this plays out after Dawn Of Justice!
