Cameras are now rolling on Wonder Woman 1984, and following our first glimpse of Steve Trevor (Chris Pine) courtesy of director Patty Jenkins, star Gal Gadot has taken to Twitter to share an official still of her own.

This time we get a look at the returning hero of the title, as Diana gazes into a window full of TV screens displaying various scenes of mid-’80s pop culture.

Perhaps we won't have to wait too much longer for a first-look at Kristen Wiig's villainous Cheetah!

Speaking of which...

Wonder Woman 1984 is set to hit theaters on November 1, 2019. filming will take place in Washington, D.C., Alexandria, Virginia, and in the UK, Spain and the Canary Islands.

@BloodyBed - I am sorry, but I got to have more lasso! The fight scene with the lasso was just awesome!

@BloodyBed - I hope the sequel does well. I fear Justice League really tarnished her character and interest going forward for her franchise. I cross my fingers I'm wrong.

With the hype surrounding Captain Marvel, I hope the general audience doesn't favor one heroine over the other and support both. I want to see more female driven properties succeed so we can get heroes like She-Hulk and Hawkgirl on the big screen.

@SonOfAGif - WW started this, and is an all-around iconic character. From the outfit, to the mythical lore, and with a likable actress like Gadot in the role, WW isn’t going to fade from popularity any time soon.

I just hope there’s less slo-mo and better effects.

@BloodyBed - am I the only person who didn't like how the lasso effects looked in wonder woman?

I thought the glowing lasso, when it was actually used, looked really... odd?

So she's going to be Syndrome from The Incredibles?
ScarletWarlock
ScarletWarlock - 6/13/2018, 7:43 AM
@ScarletWarlock - or Killian from Iron Man 3. Point being, this is a tired trope. It's a trope that can be justified in a story setting, and one that can be well executed, but that remains to be seen if that will be the case. In any event, I thought the first film was honestly okay, so I'm hoping this film gets to be a lot more creative and original, and with hopefully better action sequences, because after rewatching about 3 weeks ago, the action is so incredibly week and ridiculous to look at: The slow-mo stuff became over-used, over the top, and boring rather quick; not to mention, it was incredibly uninventive, for the most part.

So they're going the Single White Female route with Cheetah.

Could either be cheesy or really dark.

@BlackBeltJones - Considering the fact that the first film.was the second darkest DC Film behind Batman v Superman with her most iconic scene being undone when the village she saved was murdered, and the fact that even though she killed the villain, the world still invented the atomic bomb, not to mention the fact that it's a DC Film, I'm going to have to go with really dark. Still, they all end on an optimistic note, so I don't see why this one shouldn't as well.

If they are bringing back Steve, they can bring back Ares.

@ScarletWarlock - nothing would make me happier than a new younger Batman. An old and weary Batman doesn't fit well in a live-action universe full of Metas.
