Easy fix for psylocke she’s captain Britain’s adopted sister

@ShimmyShimmyYA - That, and we've already seen Psylocke. The back story is more confusing than the power set, and I'm sure that would get tweaked.

I heard a theory yesterday about the X-Men in DS2 that had me thinking🤔

What if the X-Men have been in the MCU all along but Wanda said NO MORE MUTANTS and banished them into the X-Men animated world. There were rumors awhile back that doctor strange 2 will feature an animated scene. Acknowledge that and the fact that Wanda loves TV and she is a mutant herself in the comics and also take into account Disney is reviving X-Men animated series from the 90s it all makes sense😳

Let's face it, X-Men just got weird there for a while.

This guy will never hit the big screen either

They could absolutely use Psylocke and Thunderbird and do the characters and their heritage justice. Just like they fixed the racial stereotype issues with Shang-Chi, which you mentioned when talking about how these characters wouldn't work. No problem.

The issue with literally all of the other characters on the list is that it's simply not necessary. There are far more quality X-Men to bring in, why waste time with any of these? Except for Psylocke and Thunderbird.

@SummersEssex - The problem with Thunderbird is that he sucks. And it has absolutely nothing to do with his heritage and culture.

He was killed off in his second appearance because he was a less interesting Wolverine clone. He has tracking skills, slightly enhanced strength and agility, he was older than the rest of the team (except for wolverine), and he had a shitty attitude (even worse than Wolverine). He was Wolverine, minus the healing factor, claws, and adamantium skeleton. Claremont even admitted that's why he was taken out so early. He was pointless on the team.

They could appear in Deadpool 3, although Multiple Man is my choice to appear in Deadpool 3.

@Repian - Exactly what I came to say. Especially Gin Genie. That's right up their alley.

What is so problematic about Psyslocke. Are white characters only allowed to switch bodies with other white characters in fiction. Seems like people are making problems out of nothing

Wraith and Skin are the kind of characters that you use in the Xavier School - mutations are random and I really felt that those kind of "weird mutations" never had a place in the Fox-Men and I hope Marvel can fix this, the drama of a teenager becoming "a monster" is something the X-men comics have tackled many times and I wish this story is told in the MCU.

Psylocke is a easy fix, don't make her a white girl in an asian body, just make her asian. The UK has something like 120 thousand chineses living there, make the Bradock family an mixed family and make James the twin and Brian the older brother (but not 10 years older). Then you can have Capitain Britain (Brian) white and Elizabeth (Psylocke) Asian and Monarch will be Asian too.

It's completely reasonable and un-"problematic" to portray a character claiming to be a man trapped in a woman's body, but it's completely unreasonable and problematic to portray a character claiming to be a white person trapped in an asian's body. Yeah, all of this makes total sense lol

@Zappy - Don't forget, these types of articles are usually just platforms for J0sh to lowkey virtue signal. Once you see it, it's kinda funny.

Ding ding ding!

You can’t do an Asian in a white person body for some reason (Ghost in the shell).

Am I wrong? Thunderbird (as Warpath) and Psylocke were already used by Fox. I don't remember either being called problematic... Other than maybe lame portrayals. I mean, Bryan Singer actually ended up being the most problematic mutant in that universe.

lol what kind of sex-phobic weirdo writes this shit. A woman exists and Josh panics.

I know Thunderbird as Warpath from when I was a fan. I thought they already had him in X-men DOFP. Why wouldn’t he work? You think Native Americans are opposed to having a super hero representative?
TheManWithoutFear
TheManWithoutFear - 4/14/2022, 1:01 PM
I'm legitimately surprised that Josh knew this much about X-men comics.

Most of these won't be missed if were honest. Except Thunderbird, I don't think of him as problematic. And Psylocke is in the list but I think she'll be fine too.

@TheManWithoutFear - he doesn’t, he had to Google search prior to writing this
Slifer151
Slifer151 - 4/14/2022, 1:07 PM
I mean Psylocke can't be that problematic given that they're already done her in live action before. For all the complaints that film had, I don't recall anyone mentioning that?
TheFinestSmack
TheFinestSmack - 4/14/2022, 2:34 PM
@Slifer151 - Hold on...are you telling me it wasn't probabematic like Josh said it is?!?

Thunderbird was already used on Gifted as a main character so I don’t think they’re scared to use him

Are there actually people out there hating on Thunderbird? I've never seen that. I'd love to see at least one of the Proudstar brothers show up, it would be great to get both of them. D'Pharaoh Woon-A-Tai (Reservation Dogs) would be a great addition for any X-Men cast. Maybe bring along Dalton Cramer, too, to complete the pair.

Also - I do hope we get some mutants with "useless" powers. Probably not as main characters, but that is an important side to the narrative.
CorndogBurglar
CorndogBurglar - 4/14/2022, 2:42 PM
@SerKurtWagner - I hate Thunderbird lol. But its because he sucks. His heritage and culture are fine. Warpath is awesome.

It's just funny how it's okay to have characters like Captain America or Captain Britain running around and literally wearing their country's flag as a costume, but a Native American wearing a costume that pays homage to his culture is offensive? And offensive to who? I'm willing to bet its only offensive to Karens that aren't even Native American.
