Bryan Singer Shooting X-MEN: DAYS OF FUTURE PAST Quicksilver Scenes At 3,600 FPS

X-Men: Days Of Future Past director Bryan Singer's latest Twitter tease from the set of the highly anticipated film isn't particularly revealing, but it offers a new tidbit on his approach to filming the scenes featuring Quicksilver (played by Evan Peters).

Today's X-Men: Days Of Future Past Twitter tease via director Bryan Singer has hit, and it isn't as particularly revealing as prior on-set images. It does, however, offer an interesting tidbit on the way Singer is filming Quicksilver's (Evan Peters) scenes, which are being shot at 3,600 frames per second. 3,600 FPS is 150 times slower than common film (so Quicksilver moves up to 150 times as fast as most), and significantly brighter set pieces are needed for each frame. It's hard to make out what exactly Singer is shooting in the following behind-the-scenes image, but check it out below and stay tuned to CBM for more news as we have it.

X-Men: Days Of Future Past stars James McAvoy, Michael Fassbender, Patrick Stewart, Ian McKellen, Hugh Jackman, Jennifer Lawrence, Nicholas Hoult, Ellen Page, Halle Berry, Peter Dinklage, Anna Paquin and Shawn Ashmore. The film is set to hit theaters May 23rd, 2014.

please do something cool and amazing with Quicksilver. It will show if you really just stuck him in there to be an ass to Whedon and the Avengers sequel. Of course the last time Fox used Quicksilver was Origins Wolverine....underwhelming to say the least.

Seems logical. And flash may have came first in comics, but Quicksilver is coming first in cenima. It's a win win.

My thoughts exactly, every good X-Men film had him involved in some capacity.

Nobody cares Singer... after [frick]ing up both X-Men and Superman you should be banned from taking on CBM's forever.

As for Quicksilver, I'm not fussed about DOFP but he should not be in the next Avengers, we need AntMan, Wasp or Black Panther.

What the hell are they thinking... wasting time with a character nobody gives a shit about in a film about Ultron. [frick]ing Hell give us what we want... AntMan for crying out loud!

Singer never said Quicksilver was only for one scene.

That was a rumor started by Latino Review, I believe.

I rest my case.

Please stop with the underwhelming heroes, let me get this straight you can put a hawkeye in the Avengers, Scarlet witch in the AVengers, A superfast dude, a witch with the power to change probability. A Titan, a whole race of Aliens. And even make a character out of the blue in Coulson. You can make an Asgardian Loki, but we cant get a brother with a power or at least a gadget, better yet anybody under 50. Get me my Panther and stop teasing with this Falcon stuff. Superspeed is so juvenile...

singer's quicksilver will be choking on whedon's quicksilver dust.
CrimsonFlash
CrimsonFlash - 8/6/2013, 3:54 PM
The good thing is there is potentially Two takes of quicksilvers speed hitting the screen before the flash movie. This will help give The flash directors some idea of how to and how not to do speedster characters

It's going to be like origins were they had his ass locked in a cage that you saw for a few seconds of him struggling to break free. A quick show of him doing something i'm sure but not much.

Is there a legitimate reason why? Lol. I haven't seen/heard/smelled/touched one yet.
MoonDoggyX

Sage - You sure as hell got that right, bud.

TheYoungMan - Not worried at all considering that Singer's never made a good CBM. X2 was just ok by today's standards, it did not age well. X1 was bad. Superman Returns was absolutely horrible. His most recent film was Jack and the Giant Slayer and that definitely doesn't instill hope that he will get X-Men right this time... much less Sentinels.

Marvel studios is a honestly shooting 5/2 Good/bad ratio. Even their worst is better than Singer's best. Not to mention Wheadon knocked into another timezone fhis first try out. SO, yeah, not worried.

That said, its not like we're not all gonna go see it :-)

@MoonDoggyX

If you honestly thing Thor, Iron Man 2, Iron Man 3 and First Avengers are better than the Wolverine, X1, especially X2 and First Class then you need your head examined.

*Meanwhile over at the Batman/Superman Fanbase*

"However the studio denies all the chatter, telling HollywoodReporter.com that the casting process hasn't even begun.

A Superman Homepage source tells us that Zack Snyder may currently be more involved with movie title possibilities and how to represent the film, with the director looking at "World's Finest" and "Public Enemies" ideas for inspiration."

@Godzillafart You forgot about Jack the Giant Slayer.

By the way, this is a matter of personal taste, not Whedonite trolling. I just don't like Singer's work. X2 was okay.
