Famke Janssen Not Sure If Jean Grey Will Return For X-MEN: DAYS OF FUTURE PAST

While chatting at the Hansel and Gretle press junket, Famke Janssen was asked, again, about her possibly appearing in X-Men: Days Of Future Past where she said she is up for it, but has not been contacted yet.

There have been a number of cast members from Bryan Singer's first X-Men franchise who have joined X-Men: Days Of Future Past. Sir Patrick Stewart, Sir Ian McKellen, and Hugh Jackman have already been confirmed for the film, with most of the original cast from First Class returning as well. Famke Janssen was asked by SHH at the Hansel and Gretle press junket if we can expect her in DOFP. "I'm sitting by the phone waiting, call me up Bryan! I think their challenge is that I died as Jean Grey and I died as the Phoenix, so what else can they do? If they bring a younger version back, they'll have to get a younger actress, so what is there left to do," she asked. Janssen is rumored to have a cameo role in the upcoming Wolverine movie.

Janssen has also teased that she might be returning to the franchise as well. Whether that tease was about her Wolverine cameo or coming back to possibly do Days of Future Past only time will tell. Shooting for DOFP is scheduled to happen around April, so be on the look out here at CBM as more characters are announced for the film.

Huh, I thought for sure that she would make an appearance (not that I wanted her to), but I guess we'll see this year. I just hope this film will redeem itself from it's previous Wolverine film. So far it looks okay. All I need is the trailer for this and judge it from there.

Can we not just retcon the whole of Last Stand?

@LEVITIKUZ - My exact feelings!! Those were really great performances pulled off by those two actors. Beast was BRILLIANT! Thank God they went with Kelsey Grammer on him--'cause I have no idea who else could've pulled off Hank. As for Nightcrawler, all that I said about Kelsey's Beast, it goes for the same for Alan Cumming's performance as Kurt. :)

I hated the zombie phoenix they pulled off in X3. That was bad.

I'm shocked that The Wolverine is taking place AFTER X-Men The Last Stand. Didn't before they said it was going to take place BEFORE the X-Men movies??

@Marvel87 - That's what I thought back then. Wasn't it originally a prequel to the X-Men trilogies, before Wolverine gets involved with the X-Men? It was supposed to be like a totally different view/take on Logan's origin (and that X-Men Origins: Wolverine was supposed to be ignored and that this would be THE origins of Wolverine). But then I guess they must've changed that around and wanted this to be the "aftermath" of Logan's journey from X3. I don't know. I maybe wrong about that.

Did someone say "Coffey"?......

@cipher - Well, originally this was about Famke talking about whether or not she'll come back as Jean in possible X-Men films, then you went ahead and said that you'd still bang Famke (and I know I would, heheheh ;D) and THEN you mentioned "coffee". LoL, you sure know how to bring about a good subject when needed, my friend.

"yingyangpalms - Bryan Singer likes to cast "MILFS" to his liking. And shes not his kind of "MILF"! I'll give you a hint-the M stands for Men."

That's true when you think about it. So far only five males have been confirmed to come back.

Famke Janssen is still drop dead gorgeous.
I'd love to see her appear, maybe as a spirit incarnation of the Phoenix? who knows.

She can't act so yeah. Not surprised at this. Still Fox should just stop making X-men movies. Every film they have lower and lower box office. So yeah just do us all a favor Fox and give the rights back to Marvel Studios.

It's alternate reality (future) in Days of Future Past. not what we saw in trilogy, so there isn't any problem to get Jean into this movie. Trilogy is true future for First Class mutants. Days of Future Past is alternate, where are Sentinels orders.

In a perfect world Jean Grey would be rebooted along with the other characters after Days if Futures Past so we can get an actual First Class *sigh* if only

Let Jean be a flashback in The Wolverine; DOFP is already starting to get bloated with characters.

If she appears in The Wolverine, which takes place after X-Men:TLS, wouldn't that mean she's actually alive?

Jean Grey should have never been killed off in the first place.

Bryan Singer better call her! When Famke Janssen asks you to call her, you do it! :P

@cipher Ha ha, "Xenia Special?" Nice, dude.

@TheAmazingSpidey Wow... I hate coffee, but I wouldn't mind having her in the morning. ;)

@imadick You don't like a smoking hot older woman?
