Channing Tatum Reportedly "Fully Committed" To GAMBIT, But Will He Still Join The DC Films Universe?
Despite speculation that Channing Tatum may have departed Gambit in preference of a role in the DC Films Universe, a new report offers some clarification on where things stand with the delayed spinoff...
There was a lot of speculation this weekend that Channing Tatum could be making his way to the DC Films Universe (more details on that can be found by clicking here), but now Latino-Review has weighed in with their thoughts on the matter. Apparently, they've reached out to a "deeply embedded source" who tells them that Fox is moving forward with Gambit and that Tatum remains committed.
That's fair enough, but could he still appear in the DC Films Universe? Fox don't seem to have the same non-compete clause it's thought Marvel Studios put in their contracts (hence why Fantastic Four star Michael B. Jordan is jumping ship to the Marvel Cinematic Universe with Black Panther), and while the site says that the speculation is off the mark, it's not entirely clear whether that's referring to him leaving Gambit or both that and the actor being cast in an upcoming DC Comics adaptation.
Honestly, there's probably nothing to see here, but stranger things have happened, so we'll have to wait and see. For now, Gambit remains undated and the next comic book movie Tatum will be seen in is the sure to be brilliant Kingsman: The Golden Circle from Matthew Vaughn. What do you think?
