New LOGAN Image Reveals Identity Of Richard E. Grant's Villain, But Is He Playing Mr. Sinister?

The latest black and white photo from Logan puts the spotlight on Richard E. Grant's villain, while his name has finally been revealed. However, while he looks Sinister, that's not who he's playing...

Ever since X-Men: Apocalypse's after-credits scene showed an employee of the Essex Corp. collecting Wolverine's DNA samples, most of us have assumed that was a sign Mr. Sinister would be the big bad the ageing hero squares off with in Logan. Well, while it's very likely that he'll return somewhere down the line, the fact that the photo below was tagged with "Rice" confirms that Richard E. Grant is actually set to take on the role of Dr. Zander Rice, something which was only really a rumour before now.

The surgical head of the project which created X-23, he was ultimately killed by the youngster. Interestingly, his father worked on the original Weapon X Project and was killed by an escaping Wolverine as he fled with a briefcase full of information about the project. That could very well be how Logan ends up tying into X-Men: Apocalypse, but what about Mr. Sinister? Well, we're now going to have to wait and see where he shows up, though the next X-Men and Deadpool movies are both likely.

Logan stars Hugh Jackman, Dafne Keen, Boyd Holbrook, Richard E. Grant, Stephen Merchant, and Patrick Stewart. It's currently set to be released on March 3rd, 2017, so stick to CBM for updates.

Sinister is the kind of villain that, I think, needs to be somewhat close to looking like his scary ass comic version. He's got to be unsettling and creepy.
