This month's issue of Toyfare Magazine hit shelves today and it has a sneak preview of some of the action figures based on the X-Men spinoff movie 'X-Men Origins: Wolverine.' Two of the figures featured are Logan in his leather jacket, as well as a bald character with no mouth which was first seen fighting Wolverine in the most recent trailer for the upcoming movie.

It has been speculated that this character could be a yet to be identified mutant known as Weapon XI. But, as can be seen from the picture below, Toyfare Magazine has identified the mysterious character as "Movie Deadpool."

'X-Men Origins: Wolverine' is set to hit theaters on May 1st, 2009.

It is deadpool, they got tired of his wisecrackin' so they skin grafted his mouth shut. Then gave him huge middle fingers so he can stick it to the man.

NO NO NO! This can't be, Fox cannot be that stupid! They can't! If this is real, who? who is responsible???

unless...this theory just came to my head...unless they are just using the name "Deadpool" for this character, and Wade Wilson is still the wise cracking, cancerous assasin...please god, please...I'm not even happy about this theory, but it's better than what the article is sayin

If this is Deadpool I will be very upset. Granted I'll still see the film, but my god, How can fox really expect to screw with established comic story lines like this and not piss people off. It's a true slap in the face to all comic book lovers. I just hope it's not true.

I've seen these at Wal-Mart and Target and they SUCK! I haven't seen a single good fig from the movie...They're are at the least, sub-par. Seriously. The Wolverine and the X-Men figs are WAY better and the Marvel 3.75 figs are spectacular in comparison. Of course, even without comparison, the Marvel 3.75 fig line is freakin' awesome, I'm just not paying 9 bucks a piece for them. Con artists I tell ya...But, nevertheless, they are pretty dope.

I told everybody that FOX was going to F*&k up the X-Men Franchise and if that's Deadpool this truly confirms it... How many more of these FOX versions of X-Men do we have to put up with b4 MARVEL steps in and reboots this BS....NBC HEROES on the big screen..

Okay, Lets say this is real, that sucks, but lets see if we can make it better, his mouth can always be un-sewed and maybe he does get those powers but there just temporary. I mean Stryker is trying to make the perfect assassin and what better then to have a super mutant that only last as long as the job need.

In DC comics they had a group of lanterns that would take a pill to give them there powers and it would only last for as long as the job needed, thus they couldn't use them against anyone other then who they wanted them to.

Same with Stryker, he would want another wolverine on his hands so maybe he makes it where the powers don't last, thus they wouldn't be able t turn on him.

this is just plain annoying....why?!?
MisterNiceGuy
MisterNiceGuy - 3/11/2009, 8:59 PM
maybe this is just an error in the naming process like when they named the tank devastator in transformers. I pray its just a stupid mistake like that

If he doesn't get his head cut off as reported, there is still hope. The natural reaction to Fox should ALWAYS be skepticism in faithfulness. The movie still looks promising to me, a die-hard Wolverine fan. I love Deadpool as well, and I hold on to the belief that he can always lose his powers and the shafts coming out of his arm and cut open his mouth. However, if he gets beheaded, it's really game over, man. Game over.

Why do people not read my post....

No its not game over if he gets his head cut off, Deadpool has a better healing factor then sabertooth and wolverine.

Deadpool has lost his head before, and the put it back on his torso and it healed, deadpool has died a few times, each time making him more crazy.
DarkKnight2099
DarkKnight2099 - 3/11/2009, 9:34 PM
granted, but i think we are all familiar with the way fox screws continuity up for the sake of new audiences. Im worried that fox screwed deadpool over for the sake of general audiences and didnt stick true to the comics. It seems to be there pattern. I cant believe they would pull this story out off there butts. Deadpool having all mutant abilities? then dying. Granted Deadpool has re-greneration abilities far better than wolverine & Sabertooth, still this is pure crap, if they choose to go this route on the big screen. Let's all just hope that this is all just a fake. (but I dont know how sure i feel on that any more)

I want a Wade Wilson true to his comic origins. Thats all I ask. Its not that hard. Please Fox, Dont mess DeadPool up for us out here in comic book land. It's just not right.

A toy company from Japan screws up the package for Weapon XI & puts Deadpool's name on it by accident and everyone's fooled....come on guys if they had Wolverine's name on a Sabretooth toy you wouldn't be fooled !! why this ?? don't you think they would of put out a Deadpool toy that looked like Ryan Reynolds, before this toy, come on guys when has Deadpool ever looked like that or had those powers...jesus christ it's Weapon XI, A totally different character. Think about it, how would they ever make a Deadpool spinoff movie with him looking like that he has no mouth...a Deadpool movie where he looks like that & dosen't talk, LOL, and obviously whoever this guy is Wolverine's going to kill him, the guy's a friggin' goon !!

in short that is NOT Deadpool it's Weapon XI, regardless of what the name says.

I think that perhaps they shouldn't consult with toy companies until after the movie is made. I'm starting to think Hasbro is funding theses damn films so they can make more action figures.

Here's how I hope they resolve it: The healing factor works so well, that it essentially rejects the additional power "transplants" and we end up with crazy, cancerous Wade.

Ok, its him folks. Our only hope is the rejecting the powers and implants theory..if he goes through this ridiculousness and comes out the other side as the merc with a mouth we all know and love ill be happy..ish! But Fox are still a pack of c#nts
