Although Ellen Page will return as Kitty Pryde for Bryan Singer's X-men: Days Of Future Past, we now know that she won't be playing quite as big a role as we expected, as it'll be Wolverine (Hugh Jackman) doing to time hopping in this version of the story. But that hasn't seemed to bother Page any, who seems very excited to be reprising the role from Brett Ratner's X-Men 3. In fact she enjoys playing the character so much, that when Vulture asked for her thoughts on The Avengers director Joss Whedon stating that he'd love to make a Kitty Pryde movie, she said the following.
"I have heard that, yeah! Well, I'm available! [Laughs.] I love that. Kitty Pryde's awesome. I'm super grateful to be the actress who's gotten to be her, and you only desperately hope that the true fans who have a right to demand what they want and who have been passionate about these stories for a really long time, that you can pull it off for them. I would be so thrilled to play Kitty Pryde again. I really would."
Now obviously the way the rights are at the moment, and Whedon being Marvel Studios' golden boy, this is unlikely to ever happen -- but maybe someday someone will bring us a solo Shadowcat movie, and even throw Lockheed in there as well! What do you guys think? Is she a character you';d even like to see get a spin-off movie?
