X-MEN Star Rebecca Romijn Expresses Interest In Returning As 'Mystique'
One original cast member who didn't make the cut in X-Men: Days of Future Past is Rebecca Romijn, the older version of Jennifer Lawrence's Mystique. In the following interview, the star of the original X-Men trilogy expresses interest in making a return to the franchise...
Rebecca Romijn played Mystique in X-Men, X2: X-Men United, and X-Men: The Last Stand. It was in the third movie that she was left depowered, so that more than likely explains why there was no sign of her in the future scenes of X-Men: Days of Future Past. Of course, the actress did have a minor cameo in X-Men: First Class, but what are the chances we might see her return as Mystique somewhere down the line? Well, considering the popularity of Jennifer Lawrence and the fact that she's a huge box office draw, slim to none probably, but Romijn has revealed that she is "absolutely" willing to return as the blue skinned beauty. She also told Digital Spy that she's "talked a lot" with Lawrence, adding: "But from what I understand, her make-up is very different from the make-up I went through. I don't think she had to go through everything that I went through. It sounds like [she had an easier time] - although my theory is that going through nine hours of make-up, you're in such a rotten mood, you can't be anything but evil - it turns you into the villain that you need to be to play Mystique properly!" Would you guys like to see her return?
