Erica Hosseini Will Audition For X-Men: First Class?

Model Erica Hosseini tweets that she will audition for Matthew Vaughn's X-Men prequel!

Model Erica Hosseini has tweeted on Twitter that she has received a call to audition for what she is calling, "a new mutant character", for "X-Men: First Class".



Based on her looks, it seems that it could possibly be for a young Jean Grey. If Hosseini nails the audition and gets the role, she will be joining a cast already comprised of James McAvoy, Michael Fassbender and Benjamin Walker. Amber Heard and Alice Eve may be joining the cast as well.

"X-Men: First Class" is set for release on June 3rd, 2011.

Is it too much to ask that they look at actors, instead of models?God forbid we have someone who can act and not just stand there and look "pretty".

The rule for wrestlers ought to be extended to models.Unless the role is for a wrestler or model, then get an actual actor.There is no shortage of them.And even then, there are large actors or pretty actresses that could play those parts.

If its a new mutant its not Jean..and I doubt Vaughn would cast an inexperienced model in that role anyway. Although she is just auditioning so who knows.

Audition? So essentially she is nothing...I say we never hear from this again...I can bet there are a couple dozen other models auditioning...attractive but I'd like to see some acting credentials maybe? But then again this is FOX, where they can only manage to get their cartoons right...

I no longer care about this movie. Maybe I'll change my mind when I hear some more info or see some pictures/footage but for now, the fact they've cast an adult Emma Frost alongside teenage X-Men has just reminded me why I hate Fox and the fact that this movie, along with pretty much every other CBM they've made, WILL suck. ;(

WHAAAAAAATT??!! God, first Transformers 3 now this...this...I dont even know what to call this movie!!! I think I'm just going to go sit in a corner and cry for a while...I hope an audition is just as far as it goes

this movies starting to turn into material for me to just knuckle one off. hot broads, no talent. thats why we have porn people, lets hope this is just an audition.

there are too many mutants already established in the x-universe for them to create a new one for this movie if that's what they're trying to do. this movie is going to blow balls. i plan on boycotting it and any other fox cbm.

@ Codeseven, Agreed on the boycotting of Fox CBM's. Why do you need to create a New Mutant when there are so many to choose from that they already have rights to through the Xmen Rights. Stupid Idea...Fox CBM's need to stop. Or at the very least Co-Produce with Marvel and allow them creative control.

What happened with keeping this movie simple as possible??? Hasn't FOX learned from their mistakes? *X3 & X-MO:W* Packing a movie with characters is not the way to go. This was supposed to reboot & keep the story simple & correct the screwed up timelines of characters & events once & for all as it should've been since the get-go. The original First Class mutants (Cyclops as leader of the pack, Marvel Girl aka Jean Grey, Ice Man as the jokester, Beast, & Angel) vs. Magneto & his Brotherhood fighting for equality against each other & those who fear & hate them. That's it! Nothing more, nothing less. Is that so hard?!

Guys - Do you REALLY think Fox (even as dumb as they are) are going to risk a plum role on a nobody with no practical acting experience? I smell another Oliva Munn role in the making. I bet she probably won't even say a word! Can you say 'eye-candy'? I know you can...
